All my experiences have been great dining in and picking up. One of my favorite places to eat in Charleston!

As someone that grew up going to many Thai restaurants and has been an avid fan of Thai food, this place has been my number one since I came to Charleston while I study here for a bit. I will genuinely miss the INSANE amount of good food here. I never try new things unless it's Asian cuisine for a reason and this place proved that I really can just order anything and find it delicious. Their food is seasoned to perfection. Their spicy addition seasoning is delicious. Each dish truly has it's own distinct flavor and no matter what the flavor is bursting. I've tried almost every type of fried rice, the pad thai, and some Thai curry and some appetizers and gosh I know I will miss this place. If I want something this good when I move back to Chicago I know I'll have to pay at least double :( Their portions are hugee for their affordable prices!

Extremely disappointed with my experience this evening. We normally love this place and have always thought the owner was a kind and pleasant person; however, this evening felt like a 180 shift, not sure if they were just having a bad day or what, but the customer service was honestly embarrassing. I know they recently got a new online ordering service, so we got on to order. discovered that the new system actually made it easier for my order as I usually write in a few ingredients to remove in the special requests field. the new system actually lists out each of the ingredients and you can check "No" to remove certain ones. as always I never expect restaurants to get the special requests right, but Siam Thai has always taken the requests and honored them. I order the exact same thing every time, so the only difference was how the system showed the non-wanted ingredients. Well we go to pick up, and are about 15 after our pickup time, our fault, but I stayed in the car while my husband ran in to get it. I then receive a text from him saying it isn't ready yet, and that he thinks my order confused them. Confused how? I ask. He then said he heard the owner say, "well what do they even want in it if they don't want those things". Probably the items that aren't checked "No" in the order... which again with the new system makes it very clear. And I'll state again, the order is the exact same as always, only difference being how it was input into their system and they have never had a problem with my order before. Never had any comments about my order. Very disappointed as the food is good, but sorry customer service comes first in my mind... if you don't want the options to remove, that's on you, not me, no reason to make comments about people's food choices. We won't be returning after this experience, which is sad because we've enjoyed it for years.

Super inconsistent and typically gets my very easy order wrong. The new girl Presley who works at the counter is very polite. They also gave me the wrong sauce for my crab Rangoon. But they do fix their mistakes if you call.

We LOVE this restaurant! Everything about it is great: the food, the service, the staff, and the overall comfort. But why is the sign above the door so small after the renovation of the strip mall? There used to be a large sign that you could see from the street. People should know about this restaurant when driving through town. I fear that they will miss it now that the new sign is so small.

My wife and I have been eating Thai food (in the U.S.), individually and as a couple, since the 1980s. Our first date (in 1984) was at a Thai restaurant in Boston. So I think it means something when I say Siam Thai is the best Thai food we've ever had. We've been regulars at the restaurant, at least once a week, since 2016. The food never gets old. And the portions are huge. A bowl of green curry for instance is not a few bits and pieces that you need to hunt for in a sea of green. It's a bowl teeming with vegetables and chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, or tofu.

Any dish here is a recommended dish, and Mao is very helpful in guiding newcomers. And she seems to know the spice level of every regular, from no spice to 5. (We are level 3.)

Siam Thai is really a treasure — one of the things that makes Charleston a town worth living in. Go!

So good! Not boring Midwest garbage. True Thai food. Full of flavor and love. We get it weekly. I’m snobby with food and this hits the mark. Delicious and well priced.

The ambiance and building might look questionable from the outside, but it’s definitely worth it for the food! I haven’t had a lot of Thai food before, but I tried the Pad Thai with shrimp and the Tom Yum soup, both were delicious, and the portions were generous. The staff were also really friendly!

The food is not up to mark, the old lady in the restaurant was very rude and disgusting.
