LaGondola Spaghetti House

I want to start by saying the 2 young guys working yesterday were great! Food and service were great as always. But I want to complain about the atmosphere because the owners really should make some improvements for the heat. It was terribly hot yesterday. I understand AC issues can be pricey. However, this store is all windows and that sun was beating inside. The thermostat on the wall said 95. The AC unit above the door that drips on your head (always been that way) was set on 60 but no cool air was coming out of it. That's dangerous conditions for workers. The guys working were pleasant and didn't complain. But while I was waiting for my food, other people came in and everyone commented how terrible it felt in there and expressed concern for the workers. Put up some working blinds or curtains or something and at least invest in a working AC unit for the employees.

People are slow as molasses waited 20 min for and oder that should have been done when I got there. There's no team work the guys coothe pizzas is slow

Was a bit disappointed as it has been many years since going to this establishment and hoped for better.
Ordered the tortellini and spaghetti dinner and full torpedo on Monday 4/7. The pasta itself was good but the sauce for both dinners tasted burnt somehow which in turn just ruined the taste of the rest of the meal. Torpedo was fine (still love the bread) and garlic bread was good. If the sauce wasn't burnt I feel it would have a been a great meal, but wouldn't really know as in the past I only ever got the torpedo and it may just stay that way.
Facility was clean but outdated and service was fine just not very personable, which could just be a personal preference.

This has gone down hill so sad! What a terrible customer service and place is dirty from parking lot to inside ! Rude guy that handed my food to me !?no comparison to the one in Bartonville or Pekin , east Peoria or Morton ! This what they put on for lettuce how terrible is that

Ordered food tonight in Chillicothe knew I was close to time of closing and it was only pizza bread. I get there at 2 min after 9 and door locked, ok I get it, but order is there and I see it just need to pay and go. Guy comes to door and says nothing I can do …….. how about customer service and finish out your night and not lose a customer. I understand wanting to get out of there but a single or order or 2 and it is ready ……… serve. The customer…….. will be last time and will tell several people…… hope your business is gone after your last closure of not meeting health code standards ……….

Chillicothe Lagonda has been closed recently for not meeting sanitary code but since it opened back up decided to try my luck. I called and they answered which important to this review because it was about 30 min before closing. I placed my order for pizza bread and then got there 2 min after they closed, while you can say your late too bad, customer service would say I made an order let’s get the money. I was too sorry nothing they could do even tho it was paying cash and the order was sitting there for n top of the stove ready……… won’t ever go back. Not sure if other la gondola treat customers like that kinda crappy.

Don’t get me wrong the food was good but when I used the bathroom there was a dead roach on the floor. The employees make dining in very awkward as they just sit and stare at you. Very uncomfortable experience.

Dirty restaurant, dirtier employees. Smelled of foul chemicals, and food all over tables and floor. For an established name, this place does not do the name justice. It looks like a failed health inspection waiting to happen. The employees look miserable, and I can see why. Do not recommend eating at, or from this particular restaurant.
