Very small little hometown restaurant but they know how to cook! We have eaten here twice now, once for dinner and then breakfast. A little pricey but that is everywhere these days. The gravy here is not out of a can like many restaurants. It's so good. The skillet I had was just huge.
A restaurant with great food is how they say it on the board outside. A lovely Mexican lady came to serve us so I asked for a Heuvos Rancheros which wasn't on the menu. Up it came, the eggs, rice, bean sauce and tacos.
Wow, what a great little gem, tucked away in the middle of Illinois. Just in Rt 49 between Chicago and Champaign, this family owned diner features great food, fast and friendly service, just okay coffee, and a wonderful atmosphere. Great local flavor. Amazing short order chef in the back. This place is worth a short detour if you're just passing through.
