THASSOS GREEK RESTAURANT

My family and I dined here for my birthday, the service, food and experience was fantastic! We had the pleasure of Adam being our server, he made sure we were taken care of with our drinks, appetizers and main dishes. He checked in to make sure everything was perfect and even brought out a birthday dessert after dinner, it was delicious. We started with calamari and of course saganaki, both were so good. My husband, son and myself had the lamb which was full of flavor and fall off the bone tender, absolutely delicious. My daughter had the Greek Chicken and potatoes which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Our cocktails were excellent too, a Moscow Mule, handcrafted margarita and a Buffalo Trace old fashioned perfectly made. I highly recommend for any occasion, the food and service will not disappoint.

I recommend this restaurant featuring Greek food. My husband and I both had lamb for the main course and it was delicious. Our sides, which we had to accompany our lamb main course were roasted potatoes, mixed vegetables and rice. Everything arrived hot and I especially appreciated the fact that the dishes weren't oversalted. They do use some seasoning but it was perfect. The Greek red wine which the waiter suggested paired well with our dinner. I found our waiter to be very pleasant and attentive and the atmosphere -ambience was just right. We'll be back!

The service at Thassos was terrific as usual! The dolmades were fantastic - I could eat their egg lemon sauce with a spoon. I was a little disappointed with the beef kabobs - the meat was too tough for me and was well done instead of medium as requested. My husband's fried bakalao was tender and flakey and he enjoyed it. we will definitely continue to dine at Thassos!

Love this place, been a staple in my weekly routine since they opened. Never had a bad meal or bad service!

We were looking for a late dinner and this was an outstanding choice. Service was excellent. My lamb was perfect and my wife's whitefish was very good.

We love Thassos, always recommending it over Greek Islands in Lombard, IL. Their Avegolemono and Psarosoupa soups are outstanding. We split a grilled octopus appetizer, and my partner had Pastitsio. Both dishes were well made. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his Rice Pudding dessert.

Do you like Greek cuisine? Silly question, who doesn't? You need to run, not walk to Thassos Greek Restaurant in Clarendon Hills. You guys, the meatballs are to die for, the dolmades are GIANT, the Pastitsio? I can't. This was the best meal, and I am still thinking about it. Portions are giant. Service was beyond excellent. We will be back. A lot.

What a gem! The food was amazing. Great wine list. Fabulous espresso martinis. Grilled Octopus was fab. Great quality. Staff was attentive/out of this world….and the food was extraordinary!!!

Wonderful atmosphere, extremely friendly staff! A large variety of food options, all of which are delicious! We've been several times and enjoy everything we've ordered. The owners take such pride in Thassos and it shows!

Unacceptable experience at Thassos in Clarendon Hills. Our server, Victor, was pushy and clearly more interested in upselling than providing proper service. We were rushed through ordering, and my mom was literally shoved in her chair by other servers walking by. That alone should never happen in a restaurant like this.

The food was just as disappointing — bland, flavorless white fish with no seasoning. To top it off, my kids had stomach aches when we got home, which is deeply concerning.

The only redeeming thing is that the space itself is clean and looks nice. Everything else — service, food, and how guests are treated — was unacceptable. We will not be back.
