We passed Honey Heist while driving through Southern Illinois last week and made sure we came back whey they were open. This was our first experience with meade and we are now fans! Each one we tried was fragrant and full of flavor so it was hard to go home with only 2 bottles. The setting is as lovely as the folks who run it. We will definitely return!
Definitely a new must stop for us! The little touches here made the entire experience amazing and not to mention the amazing mead we got to try as well! 5 stars and we will definitely be back
If you've never had mead, go for a flight and find what sings to you. Everything they have is flavorful, smooth, and very easy to drink. Even if you find a favorite, the seasons change as does the seasonal offerings and the tasting room only carbonated meads that require frequent visits. Come one, come all and enjoy Southern Illinois mead!
