I love discovering little treasures along the highway of life, and what a treasure The Ice Cream Shop in Colfax is!
Right off Main and Center streets, the parking is plentiful, even at straight up noon. I was immediately impressed with the attractive exterior, and the inside was as welcoming.
I was greeted with a huge, genuine smile and hearty 'Hi!' They had my phoned-in order hot and waiting.
I loved the hardwood floors coupled with the plentiful wood trim throughout. I almost felt like I stepped back in time into a small-town general store, if it weren't for the brightly lit display cases.
The food was delicious, prepared exactly as I ordered, and must have been packaged within seconds of my arrival time, exactly when I was told it would be ready.
I'm definitely making this a regular lunch spot, and maybe the occasional treat of ice cream!

Adorable little ice cream shop that also serves burgers and other food. Smells great! Quite busy at 1:30-2pm. Must be THEE place to go in Colfax for a nice little lunch, or ice cream break after some softball games, which we didn't. Delicious turtle sundae, and generous 2 scoop cones for the girls. Must go in Colfax or surrounding area. Friendly people.

Absolutely love going to The Ice Cream Shop. Had the best chicken and noodles yesterday. And a sugar free orange crush shake. Great place for quick bite and the best ice cream around. Definitely worth stopping in and trying their some of their goodies.

This place is great. They have a good selection of ice cream, a pretty large variety of toppings, and a few hot items. The staff are all friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Speaking of which, they take a variety of payment methods - it's not one of those weird small town places that only accept cash. I try to get over here at least once a week; it'd probably be more if I lived in town. :)
