Friendly staff, optional outside dining(weather permitting). the Mimosa flights are good. The Arkansas kicker is my go-to no matter how it's made.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. They prepared my food “to go” even though we intended to dine in. Both the cashier and server I interacted with were unfriendly and condescending. The food was okay, however the croissant was dry and old.

If you want enjoy good food, at a reasonable price, and be treated with respect, this is not the place for you.

I've been here several times and never had a bad meal. It is always top notch! Don't trust the online menu, they change sometimes for the season.

Is it possible for a breakfast sandwich to have too much ham??? This is you to decide.

I finally had the chance to visit “Cafe on the Abbey,” and it did not disappoint! This charming café has a unique and special atmosphere that makes it stand out. I absolutely loved the patio; it’s a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee.
The coffee itself was excellent—rich and flavorful. I didn’t try the food this time but noticed many sweet options.

What makes it even better is that the café is part of a complex that includes a beautiful new hotel called “The Principal” and an amazing wedding venue, all right there. The staff was friendly, and I really enjoyed the welcoming vibe of the town. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend visiting!

We had a wedding in columbia IL and we are from St. Louis. I was making sure we had breakfast and lunch for the bridesmaids getting ready. I stopped by this quaint place and thought, this is place that I want to use. Then, my friends were like, just door dash from this place or that and make it easy. I called and the owner called and texted and within about 10 minutes; he understood my needs and said, I'll handle everything. Welcoming words when planning a wedding and at the one week mark. I thought, hmmph, I hope this works. Not only did it work, the owner came over personally, he set up our food; not once but twice. Everything was superior in quality and quantity. What a great place and completely run like you would wish that all places were run; but aren't.
If you have any catering needs or just want a good place to get food made from scratch with a ton of love. Do it!

Sadly we paid 70 dollars for 3 meals that were cold, had hair and my grilled chicken was boiled not grilled. Employees were not pleasant and expected tip. I don’t write reviews often but walking out I knew I was going to have to give it 0 stars.

Service extremely slow. Food awful. Biscuit so tough hard to cut with a knife. Very little gravy and it was tasteless. Servings were small for the price. Never will go there again.

We arrived around 9:40 am. and was greeted very quickly with a sincere smile. We ordered our meals and about 10 mins later are breakfast had arrived. This isn't your ordinary breakfast spot. The breakfast was delicious! This was a different kind of breakfast than what we are used to. The food was fresh and very goooood! We definitely will return. Great job, team Abbey

Vegetarian options: They have a breakfast bowl called the Healthy Bowl. De-lish!

Dietary restrictions: I named one, the healthy bowl

Parking: There is plenty of space for parking.

Your staff is incredibly rude and I would like the owner to reach out to me to discuss comments that were made not once but twice by two different employees on two different days.

The bread has seeds in it, but the menu does not state this, and eggs Benedict menu item does not have hollandaise sauce.

Their fries are, in reality, 'home fries', but they're labeled as 'American fries'.

The restaurant is going for an up-class coffee shop aesthetic, but it's forced. You don't need four different kinds of lighting, nor do you need massive TVs to display your alcoholic drink options.... at a cafe.

Additionally, you don't get to see your receipt before paying. It's on a handheld device that the server holds. They tell you the total and ask for your card. This is shady behavior.
