Columbia City Saloon Bar-Grill

***Take time to read before going to this establishment*** It was our first time visiting this establishment. Bar bingo is something we enjoy. We ordered two sodas at the bar, just to start, and went to take our seats. We pulled the menu and started looking through it. We watched people come in and do the same. As we were sitting there, we watch a server going to each table taking orders and running food. We figured we would be next and “waited our turn.” Approximately 30-40 minutes pass by and nobody came to us and asked if we needed anything. Despite the server making eye contact and walking right past us on more than one occasion. She waited on every table around ours on more than occasion and stopped to talk to some of them like they were old friends. A little bit after that, one server came to our section of the dry bar and picked up trash that another customer had placed there without a simple acknowledgement or a “can I get you something.” Mind you the drinks have ran dry. We are now about at the 1hr 20 mark and bingo is almost finished. My wife asked me if I wanted another soda. I told her I hadn’t had one in the last hour we have been there, why would I want one now. She wouldn’t take no for an answer and proceeded to the bar. She had to stand there and wait for them to finish their conversation before being served. When asked for the check, they claimed they didn’t have the card that was given to them approximately 1hr 20min ago which was right behind them on the counter with the ticket that was started. To say that we are disappointed is an understatement. We were hoping that it would be a new casual date night place, especially since we like bar bingo. But, if the service doesn’t change, we will just have to go somewhere else.

It's hard score a local spot that's been around a long time... It is what is. You like it or you love it. The staff is always friendly, the bar can be fun to hangout at sometimes and the food is standard bar fare.

We enjoy this place.Been there a few time in the past for taco Tuesday, for the wings and last night I g.j ou the chef special bacon cheese burger. All the food is cooked well and served with a smile (literally) AND AFFORDABLE!
