Are here with my mom. Decided to get the chef salad. The description said it had tomatoes, eggs, pepperoni, and shredded provel. Typically a chef salad is enough for a meal. When the salad came out, It was a big bowl full of iceberg lettuce a half of a hard boiled egg, no cheese or if there was cheese it was like one tiny sprinkle, maybe five pepperoni slices and a slice of tomato. My mom ordered the Joe's special salad and it was loaded with shrimp and cheese eggs tomatoes etc. Mine looked like a sad bowl of lettuce. Definitely not going to order that again. I was starving when I left. They were also understaffed. Our waitress was fine but she was taking care of the entire outdoor patio on a night that Columbia had a huge ladies night out. I felt bad for her but we were there for quite a while before we got our food and then our bill.

Although the experience started out, OK, they clearly forgot to put our meals in when we ordered. People were seated after us and full meals were being delivered while we sat there. Although the waitress came by a few times, she never bothered to find out where our food was until we started questioning her. At some point, she finally brought each meal one at a time with big delays in between. The final meal was delivered by the owner and he said nothing beyond here you go. It was unbelievably rude and the whole experience was miserable. The food was OK but nothing spectacular for the price. I would not recommend and I would never come back.

disgusting pizza.. I want my $25 back. It was on edible the crust was hard as a rock just disgusting you should be ashamed of themselves for even selling something like that which tells me there's no management or oversight

It had been nearly 20 years since my last visit to Joe Boccardi's, but the food was as good as I remembered. We were in a large group of over 20, but our orders were taken quickly, and the food was prepared very quickly. Surprisingly quickly even. I had the lunch portion of veal parmigiana with a house salad. Both were very good, but the veal was plated by itself - it isn't served with a side of pasta unless you order it instead of the salad. It was a sufficient amount for lunch, though.

Dined there today… 8/20/24 our waitress was ok… but the server that brought food to table in red T Shirt was terrible. literally throw a plate back on serving table as there was some question about if it was correct order.

Maybe their pizza used to be number one. When you serve canned mushrooms, melted slices of imitation cheese on the pizza you can't call yourself Italian restaurant...

Ordered 2 topping "large" pizza and salad for takeout. First of all, don't think the pizza could be considered a large. Mostly though we were disappointed in the tast of the pizza. Frankly, it was like a pizza from the freezer section of the local grocery store. It tasted like it had cheddar cheese on it. Who puts cheddar on pizza? I have had other menu items from here, dine in, that were pretty good and would recommend. I can not recommend the pizza.

Very poor experience overall. Will not be taking my family here again.
Where to start… -Waited for an excessive amount of time for food that was not as ordered. Even my kids asked if the tiny piece of meat (quarter size maybe) was their meatball.. -Server was not attentive from start to finish. -mostaccioli has cheese on it right? Apparently not here. Noodles+sauce was it. -younger wait staff member grabbed some bread with bare hand and tossed it in a tray for a table.
Cant really recommend anything from our experience which sucks. Guess we’ll take the time to drive over the river for Italian food next time.
