I have gone in the restaurant several times and the selections that I want, which are clearly reflected on the menu, they never have. I’m specifically speaking about the salmon croquettes. I have even called to see if they are on the menu before I go up there and they never have them. I also went up there one Sunday and chose baked beans only to be informed they weren’t serving them that day.

Just a little advice, if you have a menu, please make sure the selections on the menu are available to customers, or specify what days they will be available, or just take them off the menu if you don’t have them on a regular basis. It’s confusing and frustrating.

I tried there food and was so disgusted I got the backed chicken with Mac n cheese green beans and yams...first of all I was disappointed I received 2 pieces of chicken breast which I didn't like it was dried out mac n cheese tasted like something terrible and the green beans were to spicy ...people always saying they do soul food this what I had was sad food learn how to cook with good flavor ....dont waste your money at this place cook your own soul food.....

It was my 2nd time going here and it wasn't good. Just look at those chicken wings, and they were very greasy, barley fried. The rib tips were burnt and overcooked, like they had been sitting around for a few days. The cabbage green was awful, and the cornbread were stale. I wish I had taken pics of the whole containers. But I couldn't get past the chicken wings. This is why we can't support our own. That meal cost $51.00 🫣

The food is not great, it is outstanding!!! This is the only place to visit for great soul food. The best!!! This review was for Ruby's soul food. Have not tried Lawrence soulfood.

Food is great especially the turkey wings

This is not Ruby’s. It is not the same. This is a waste of money. Don’t do it!!!!

This was one of my favourite restaurants to go to;every week the name use to be Rubys soul food and it was sooo delicious every single time never did any of the food ever look like this! And for the price no discount or anything was offered due to it being 1hour or so before closing…Im not sure who took over but I can tell you Ruby not back there cooking up that mess it don’t even taste the same the recipes have definitely been changed! And the cook is careless with the way he handles the food to changing his gloves to working on machinery with the same gloves and then I seen him wrap all that food up as if he’s saving it for the next day…like that’s all garbage….the young lady at the register was very nice and welcoming and she was very understanding and accommodating with changing out the dry old food to something more worth eating!! Help is what is needed there sorry I couldn’t say anything else nice

I Can't Believe How Good this Food Was !
All the sides were fresh and hot and delicious .
It took about 3-5 minutes for our order .
Some of the Best Soul Food in Country Club Hills !

Mixed review-
I had the chopped steak w/ mashed potatoes. The potatoes were extremely salty, but the chopped steak was good. The 2nd order was the short ribs with rice- which was a hit.

I miss Sabrina's & Priscilla's... I called Friday 10/4/24 around 5:50pm to retrieve pricing for catering sides. A family member passed, and I was planning the repast. The young woman that answered the phone greeted me with an attitude as if I was bothering her, and cut me off several times, loudly repeating the wrong answer as I attempted to explain that I was inquiring for an event.

When she finally understood that I was not not calling for an individual order, she got frustrated, let out a long sigh, and told me to hold on. She slammed the phone down on the counter. I could hear her talking in the background and the music in the restaurant playing.

Dissapointed is an understatement. If she was overwhelmed, she could've simply asked if it would be ok to call me back with the information at a better time. Unacceptable. I am also an event planner, and network with several other govt. political, & local agencies in the Chicagoland area. This is not how you treat customers that simply call looking for basic information, attempting to support your business. You've lost my patronage and respect for good.

This little tucked away gem was DELICIOUS!!! I ordered baked chicken dinner, turkey wing dinner, and Bbq jerk tip dinner…….. FYE!!!! FYER!!!! So good I came back the next day for more!!!!! Then the day after that ??? I’m sorry it was good!!!???
