I chose Tavern on Lagrange for food and entertainment. Sunday was supposed to be a Jazz Brunch. No jazz, no entertainment. Why did I have to pay $15 per person just to come and eat. The funds didn't go toward the food bill or entertainment, because their was no entertainment. I have been there several times and this is the first time, I feel cheated. Paying $15 just to come in. I believe ownership may have changed, but not sure.

First off, in the door the first thing the host should say is welcome, not give out instructions on parking. I had to walk back outside & move my vehicle from an area I was told was management parking. Ridiculous! Invest in signs! It's not welcoming & presents poorly. Second, the bar food & bottom shelf mixed drinks are over priced. Do yourself a favor & check the menu before dining. The food is basic and you already spent money to enter. Annoying! Third, my server (wish I had a name) was the driest most stoic person in the game. Hood McDonald's employees have her beat. I even smiled & was overly polite trying to elicit a response. Nothing! Lastly, the best experience was the live music. Rochelle Baker has a phenomenal voice & put on an amazing show. She's the only reason I would return. That's it!

My first time there and I loved everything abt it, including the dj he was on point with the music, I cudnt eat my food bcuz I was singing too much!!! Beautiful place I'll b bck, very satisfied!

My wife and I took some friends from out of town to the Saturday R&B show featuring Mr. Anthony. The entire experience was OUTSTANDING! The food was delicious, and the service was very good too. We will definitely be back.

Went for my mothers 50th birthday with my family. We thought it was old school r&b Fridays (per the website) but not one r&b song was sung. I never heard of the young artist that was preforming, he seemed like he did a good job with putting everything together, BUT we came for old school vibes and was met with raunchy new school music. I probably won't be coming back if thats the new norm.

Good food, give alot. Drinks very pricey and food also. Hidden 18% gratuity on party of 1 to 5 people. 20% above that all which is very high and absurd. They expect you to read in disclaimer grey area of menu in the very dark low lighting about the gratuity fees they charge. I already paid for ticket to get in then had to pay 28.00 in gratuity on top of it and not my choice what I want to tip....never again. I will make sure to eat before I go there again. Oh I only drinked water with lemon as drinks too pricey and not an upscale place...you wont get me again

Went there and waited well over 30 minutes to get a waiter to our table to take our order. If I hadn't went to the front to let them know, no telling how long it would have been before they noticed. It's alot that could be said about our experience but I won't, im just more so disappointed in how our service went. I'm very patient and willing to give them another try but very hesitant yo do so. Food was good and music was good.

My husband & I along with my sister & her husband had an awesome experience here yesterday. The drinks hit the spot as well as the shrimp & salmon pasta were superb. The live band that performed put the icing on the cake!❤️

Went on a Easter Sunday..Got charged $15.00 just to sit down. I was under the impression that I was walking into a regular restaurant to eat dinner and I heard sometimes they have live entertainment wich they had a gospel singer coming.Food was horrible ..too expensive for the amateur taste.. and presentation was ??.You could very well look and tell the wings were pre cooked..buffalo wings were too salty..the filled the plate up with all these fries and then the order comes with onion rings on a separate plate with MORE fries and 3 onion rings on top burnt wich they replaced with some warm sitting rings THATS wasn’t right either..greens taste like someone dumped a bag of sugar in. Jerk wings (or whatever u wanna call them) were burnt, dry wich they Camouflaged a couple of hot fresh ones on top to make it look ALL FRESH…And on top of that ..WHY DO THESE NEW ESTABLISHMENTS THINK THE MEAL GONNA LOOK MORE UPSCALE WITH ALL THIS GREEN PARSLEY ? SHOOK ON EVERYTHING.. I don’t want that on my fries, my chicken,my Mac, my lamb chops, etc…The whole PLATE GREEN PARLEYED OUT.. The killer is they are looking for CHEFS ON THE INSTA CART APP.. so they train anybody that day to be the cook, server etc when they really don’t know how..Some guy came out and apologized for the food gave my daughter another order and told me all them fries will taste better when I go home put them in my air fryer(unbelievable)..the drink ? was ok for 18.00..so 2 orders of chicken 1drink, 30.00 to sit down plus the bartender gratuity was included it cost me125.00 …money wasn’t the problem it just didn’t match the quality…plus it looked very unorganized, short staffed , a very young girl was working the front desk and told me to wait while she go find her momma because I didn’t have a reservation…smh.. my experience was all of a 1 out of 10…and the 1was for the gospel singer who had finally got there and she was sound checking/singing when I got up and left..when businesses not pulling that revenue in like they expect you can definitely tell where they start lacking at..

The restaurant is beautiful however the menu was not the menu shown online. Had I known there was a different menu on Mondays and Tuesdays I would not have come. There was no live entertainment as advertised. Disappointed!

Came for Easter buffet at 12 with an hour wait before the food came out. The actual price could have been better communicated. Music was way too loud the entire time. I've been here before and things just were better. I'd come back but for regular menu, not Buffett.

One of my favorite spots right outside of Chicago. I love the live music and atmosphere. You can’t go wrong with anything you order on the menu. My staff is very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend going to this place.
