Being gluten free i locw this place. Food was amazing. Crazy wine selection. 2 friendly bartenderq. The owner was rhwre making sure everything was fantastic. 10/10
Gravlax appetizer was amazing especially since it was Arctic Char! Berkshire pork chop was the best my wife ever had. The Halibut was tasty but unfortunately a bit over cooked and dry. Massive wine list! Our waitress Jessica was really great. Will go back despite it is nearly an hour from home. It is our go to spot before Woodstock Opera House events.
Our server was very good and patient. This seasons menu is a little off for us. My wife had the halibut which was wonderful but the radicchio that it came with was quite terrible and inedible almost and they do not allow for substitutions on the sides only the purchase of additional sides. The appetizer (brussel sprouts)and seasonal salad were the best part of the meal. I had the fish which was light and flaky chips(fried) it came with were perfectly cooked but a little light on the seasoning and the mushed peas for me were a complete miss and I was unable to substitute them. The prices were high but expected for this type of high quality restaurant.
From the moment we arrived until we left, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The wine list is both extensive and incredible. Our server acknowledged the allergies I have listed on my OpenTable profile - that almost never happens. Our food was excellent and the portions were just right. We started with the roasted brussels sprouts over labneh, I had halibut and my husband had fish and chips. We selected a wine from Vinho Verde, Portugal. For dessert we shared the blood orange olive oil cake. Everything was excellent.
We had a wonderful evening at 1776. Seasonal farm to table. Great fall classics tastefully made from scratch. Highly recommend. Enjoy!!!

Absolutely outstanding food and the staff is so knowledgeable. Do not pass up the chance to eat here. I have family who are truly Gluten intolerant and celiac. I've never seen him eat so much or so happy eating at a restaurant. This will be one of the best experiences you have eating in this area..
This was a great meal while we were in town for our anniversary. My wife has Celiac, and this is one of those rare magical places where you don't even need to mention it. In fact, I also have a mild allium allergy, and it was breathtaking to me when my food was the only food to come out with allergy tags on it. Her food was just normal fare here. So that's a point in it's favor, right there. I would happily go back if we lived in town, so take every criticism after this as constructive, because that is how it's intended.
Everything was tasty. We had the arancini and sweet potato jojos as apps. They were great. My steak was okay, and her salmon was fine. They weren't amazing, but not bad. Taste is subjective, but I felt like everything could have used a hit of salt. The mash under the steak was especially sweet. I wasn't disappointed, just not wowed.
Our server was lovely, but I was slightly disappointed that nothing was done for our anniversary. I'm not saying we needed to be given anything, but it was in the notes when I placed the reservation. No mention of it, nothing on the table, no card, nothing. Our server didn't ask if we were celebrating anything, which in a nicer restaurant like that feels like a pretty box standard step of service. That might seem like a little thing, and realistically it was, but it was mildly disappointing nonetheless.
All that said, it was a good experience. I would happily return and if you're considering going, I recommend it.

We've been coming here for some time now as it's within walking distance of home. Surprisingly quiet for a thursday night - not sure why but it was a chilly. Seated right away and from that moment our server was very attentive with everything from drinks to food order as well as checking in on us. Both ordered two separate fish items and both were great as well as a sweet potato app and a salad. Will be back soon!
Everything was perfect! The food was exceptional and the wine list is extensive. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Fantastic! Delicious food, amazing drinks, great vibes and atmosphere (especially the back patio) and great service. Josh took great care of us and made sure everything was perfect.
I had the fillet which was cooked exactly as I asked. The cocktails were good and the server was great.
Our waitress was excellent! The atmosphere was very nice. The food was very good and served in a very leisurely manner, allowing us to really enjoy our time with our out of town friends.
This was our first time there. Initially service was prompt though became slower as the evening went on. It was obvious my entree ( salmon) and my husband's had set under a warming light. Mine was crusty and dry. My husband's (chicken) was burnt and dry. Between the time we were seated and our entree was served was about an hour and a half. Everything was ala carte. The ambience was nice though the noise level was distracting. Overall it was a disappointing experience.
Our server was great! I was so glad to see vegan options on the menu, including vegan dessert!
