Five stars all around for this wonderful restaurant! As first time diners we weren't sure what to expect as all dishes are gluten-free, however every dish was delicious and satisfying. Our party started with 2 very tasty appetizers of Mussels and Cheese Curds. We then enjoyed the House and Seasonal Salads, both having a wonderful honey mustard vinaigrette. For an added touch, the Seasonal Salad was topped with goat cheese. I can't say enough about our entrees. Not only were the presentations well done, all tasted as wonderful as they looked! The Skate Wing with Snap Peas was a mild white meat fish, with caper brown butter sauce. The Short Rib was perfectly done and topped with brown sugar glaze. The Hanger Steak, ordered medium rare, had a roasted peppered chutney, charred on the outside, and two roasted whipped sweet potatoes. Our meal was topped off with the Julian's Frozen Custard dessert and espresso. The restaurant itself is somewhat small, with a cozy and charming feel to it so reservations are a must! Our service thruout the evening was exceptional so kudos to the attentive staff. A final note there is additional parking across the street so take advantage when the main lot is full. Will definitely be dining here again!

Do yourself a favor and go to 1776. 10/10 food for anyone (you won’t even be able to tell it’s gluten free). Best gluten free focaccia I’ve ever had. Fantastic wine list and incredible service. Bartenders are great and the music and vibe in the bar are *chefs kiss.* I came two nights in a row and I will be back!Dietary restrictions: 100% gluten free restaurant

Creative menu, great execution, and personable staff. We'll be back and will take advantage of the terrific wine list. Bistro feel to the room(s) and seating. Comfortable, but not cavernous.

Be very careful to push in all chairs; Saturday, my date and I sat by the window leaving the aisle chairs free. I set my purse on the chair beside me that was left a little away from the table. The server at the next table butted the chair with my purse so hard that the chair was forceably pushed into my leg, leaving me limping the next day and a still swollen ankle. I didn't anticipate such rude behavior at a 'nice' restaurant.

This was our first time eating there and it was incredible . Food , service , ambiance was amazing . I don't know why it took me so long to get in there. Definitely will be going back for sure.

One of only a few consistently on point restaurants in the area. The food is always amazing and the service is equally fantastic. We bring family and friends there regularly but sometimes it's nice to have a date night with the wife as well. 6 out of 5 stars

My wife and I gave this place a try. It's a small place so make sure to have a reservation for a spot. Parking is a bit limited so keep that in mind. Cheese Curd appetizer was different, but good. The lentil soup was ok, needed some salt. Albeit, not a bad price for what it was. Wife had the seasonal salad that was a great blend of flavor, she'd be back just for that. Now the entrees were the true stars, I had the Osso Bucco and wife had the filet. They were both super tender and flavors were perfect. For dessert they were unfortunately out of beignets, so we got the homemade frozen custard and that was really nice with some coffee. The service throughout was impeccable. They have quite the extended wine collection if you want to indulge. Bathrooms were very clean and had a nice aesthetic. A couple critiques on atmosphere, the music selection just doesn't seem to go with the theme. Seems to want that dark romantic candle light atmosphere and then something with bass hits. Takes you out a bit. Should be instrumental only in my opinion. The other is the white brick wall, again, just doesn't seem to fit with everything else. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back.

Incredible Food! Great Value. Noise level is what one wants when fine dining. You can hold a conversation easily across the table without a raised voice. And the menu..... something for everyone and priced fairly!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Dining at 1776 for the first time was an exceptional experience that surpassed our expectations in both food quality and service. The staff's attention to detail and their warm hospitality made us feel welcomed and valued from the moment we stepped in. We were told the menu adjusts every quarter, which not only keeps the dining experience fresh and exciting but also promises a new culinary adventure with each visit. As a family who prioritizes health and dietary needs, it was a relief to find that the entire menu is gluten-free. This thoughtful consideration ensures that guests with celiac disease, like my wife, can enjoy a worry-free meal without the risk of cross-contamination. Overall, 1776 offers a wonderful dining experience that combines culinary excellence with a welcoming atmosphere, making it a must-visit for those who cherish food that's both safe and satisfying. Even though the drive to get there is over an hour from our house, we will be back regularly!

1776 never disappoints, whether the weekly specials or off the menu. A cup of the mushroom soup was a great way to begin (especially given that today's temperature was about 65 degrees less than 24 hrs. ago...). The arctic char was prepared deliciously. Half-price bottles of wine ($76 and under) are a great deal. Key lime pie and house made beignets topped off the meal perfectly.
