Took my first visit of the “summer season” in Crystal Lake on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Baskin Robbin’s is always very good ice cream and I got just regular chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup this time (I’m a chocolate fanatic). The woman who assisted us was so friendly and I was very impressed with my short experience. (Written 5-11-25)

This location does not have a working phone number (dunkin/baskin location). If you order a cake online and need to talk with them, you’re screwed. Franchise owner not being held responsible by corporate to have a working phone is a huge red flag as any and all changes need to be made by contacting location.

Went through drive through- ordered two single scoops cups, a tradition on my wife’s and my date night. Got the order and drove down Hwy 14 getting it out as we drive, no spoons. Turn around drive back to the store- go inside where we are informed that you are out of spoons. My wife politely says “you might want to tell people that when they are in the drive through” and we get an eye roll and a very snarky “Okayyyyy”. Seriously- this isn’t that hard- you sell ice cream. People want to eat it. If you run out of spoons- I get it- but just inform your customers or have a back up plan.

I travel the states finding the best hidden gems when it comes to food and treats. This is currently the best custard I've ever tried. We got the rasberry cheesecake and it is outstanding. Highly recommend this flavor, but the beauty of it is whatever you have the fancy for they have it. A big beautiful wall of your mix ins to great you and get your imagination flowing. Check this place out with your family or a sweet little date night. 11/10
One of the employees had a pride hat on, disrespectful to religious people

Store posted sign that they changed hours and would be closing at 7pm for April 15th and 16th. Doors were locked at 5pm. We knocked to get their attention and they refused to unlock the doors to let anyone in.
