Add a wonderful breakfast. The quiche was excellent. I can't wait to try one of their Benedict.

We got the tuna melt and the California club and they were the best sandwiches we'd eaten in a LONG time. The tuna wasn't fishy at all and everything was fresh...they did not skimp on the veggies and good stuff. We had our dogs there and they were very accommodating.
The potato salad could have used some pepper, but otherwise everything was GREAT. Pictured is the California club.

Went in on a Wednesday for breakfast. I had the Ole Fritatta and it was flavorful and just the right amount of spicy. Portion sizes are generous and include a side of potatoes or fruit and choice of bread (which I love!)

We're foodies, we like to enjoy a meal out on the town especially for breakfast.
We decided to give Benedict's La Strata
A try this morning.
At first the menu looks really nice and they do have a lot of different fusion type items for breakfast and for lunch. The menu certainly looks very promising.
My partner and I do not eat meat, but we can usually find something on most menus.
She had to modify her choice so that it did not come with meat. I didn't want feta in my veggie skillet so I opted for Monterey Jack.

The food came and the presentation was good. Unfortunately whoever cooked my plate put the Monterey Jack in one area and it all clumped together, and by the time it was served it was a solid gelatinous mass of cheese. Also this plate came with sun-dried tomatoes and roasted red peppers, but the menu says tomatoes and does not say anything about them being sun-dried.
The sun dried tomatoes along with the red peppers in this dish added a soapy sort of taste to it almost like a detergent, the flavors just did not melt well together on the plate.
I looked over as my partner was eating her spinach Florentine crepe. She took two bites and dropped her fork, she said the crepe was super sweet whereas the cheese and the spinach were not, it just did not meld well together as flavors.

I think some of their ideas here are probably great, but I think they're mixing certain flavors here that might not necessarily go well together.
I think if you're a bacon eater this is your place, we are not bacon eaters.
Carlos is right down the street and blows this place away.

At the very end of it all we wound up paying $36 for eating a few bites of food that we did not enjoy, I think management should have comped at least one of the plates, but I also saw as the waitress and the cash register clerk were discussing, they were going to comp one of our plates, and then at the last minute they said we'll just give you a 10% discount....
This whole process took 7 minutes....poor business practice.

I highly recommend going elsewhere

Service was okay, our server only checked on us once she brought our food and we didn’t see her again until she brought the check. Breakfast tacos were delicious I would recommend double tortilla so your food doesn’t fall apart like mine did. I don’t recommend drinking the tap water it’s nasty.

Biggest disappointment was the scrambled eggs are clearly prepackaged. The bacon was burnt and the cinnamon pancakes had burnt on cinnamon sugar mix on top. Nothing to be wowed about.

I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, but I didn’t think the food was noteworthy. I got a chicken and artichoke panini and it was pretty good, but greasy. The potato salad, on the other hand was the worst I’ve ever had. Being from Texas, I prefer Mayo and mustard in my potato salad, but I have appreciated just Mayo also. This definitely missed the mark. My daughter got the breakfast burrito and thought it was fine, but not special. The best part of our meal was our lattes, which were delicious! We would return for the lattes and to try the beignets. The service was slow, but not surprising since lunchtime was very busy. Our server was friendly and attentive.
