While their food is absolutely delicious, the customer service of the women on the phone is not. For the past 3 times I’ve ordered , I’ve called with no answer, and no one calls back. Most places if they’re busy will put you on hold. Finally got ahold of them and I asked what’s going on, because none of my calls were answered and she ignores me. I said can you hear me and she tells me “you can call back when you’re ready to order” and hangs up the phone.. as if my multiple calls TRYING TO ORDER didn’t happen. No apology , nothing.
We go here weekly. Not anymore.

Fantastic food and service on a quiet Wednesday evening. A taco dinner and a special order fajitas were prepared perfectly and with care. Everything was delicious, gracias Ramon!

Horrible treatment. Ordered tacos 6 tacos, only got five, so they whipped one up in front of us, come to find out, all the other tacos were made wrong. How hard is it to dress up a taco with cilantro and onion. Tried calling back, got hung up on twice, went there, told me I was wrong that I changed my order, which I don't think I've ever ordered anything else but steak tacos with cilantro and onion... Needless to say, this was our spot, and well never be back ever again. The little woman inside was so rude and disrespectful, sad we even left her a tip after she messed up twice in front of us.

I enjoy their Al Pastor tacos and Chimichanga. Not impressed with the beans or guacamole. The guacamole was missing salt and lime. I had to fix it when I got home. My wife enjoys their tamales.

This is the best mexican restaurant in Mchenry county if you ask me. Great menu, great prices and even greater food. Can't beat it, I've been going here since I was a child and whenever I come back too Burtons Bridge Carlos River Cafe is always the number one stop on my places too eat list.

We had not been there in quite a while but recently ordered take out and I'm so glad to say it is delicious as it ever was. I ordered the chicken nachos and they do not scimp on the meat. It's well worth every penny. My husband said his steak burrito was so good. I recommend you try this place
