Chen Chinese Cuisine

I cannot express enough how much I miss Chen's. I've since moved out of state and nothing compares... Nothing. From the egg rolls (my absolute fav), pot stickers, kung pao, Szechuan green beans... Chens is the best. Service was always great & food even better. Can we get y'all connected with Taste of Chicago so we can ship these egg rolls nationwide? Asking for a friend.

I ordered on DoorDash and got it delivered. I ordered Lomein noodles and crab Ragoons. That was good. My gf ordered chicken, pot stickers. The first two pieces of chicken were ok and fresh the rest was dried out and inedible . We could not chew the chicken.Ot was like they had left over chicken and add two pieces of fresh. Half of it was wasted because it was inedible . It was very disgusting and disappointing. I would not order that again.

It's a hit or miss here. I've had great meals and some not so much. I think it depends when you have arrived and ordered. I'm a sucker for the Kung poa and orange chicken so I suppose I'll give it a try again

We've been going here for over a decade because the food is great. We noticed they updated their serving platters and no longer use cloth napkins. Last night's food was the best we've had there yet. Chen's on Rte 14 in Crystal Lake is our go to place for the best Chinese cuisine in the area.

Never coming back. Thank u to your terrible server. We just left and will no longer be our weekly place. Horrible rude woman I hope u r terminated after today. I tried to bring my family there and she couldn't do so much as allow us to have a fortune cookie with our 3 meals, but proceeded to bring them to all the other tables. We had a hard time ever getting her to return to our table, we could not understand what her problem was.

Egg rolls r made just the way I like, thy have tht peanut butter taste. Everything I've tried so far has been very good,fried rice,moo shu beef,egg foo young.

Chen’s is a staple here in CL. I have been ordering weekly for years from them, always consistent good food and just the right amount of salt and seasoning.

We tried Chen’s for an early dinner today and we were very disappointed. We ordered pot stickers, sesame chicken, fried rice, beef & broccoli, chicken lettuce wraps, and a piece of chocolate cake. None of it tasted fresh nor has any flavor. My daughter has a major sweet tooth especially for chocolate cake and she has two bites because it was stale. Normally we would try a restaurant twice to give it a fair shot but since every dish we ordered was unenjoyable and was thrown out, we will not be trying Chen’s again.

Love it here. Food is always fast and fresh. The dishes are made with super fresh vegetables and seasoned perfectly. Tofu can be subbed on most of the entrees. they have hot chili oil on request. Service is good. drinks are affordable. If I have guests I bring them here cause it’s consistently good and everyone always is happy with their meal. If I want a quick lunch/dinner I get take out or delivery from them. It’s my go to for every occasion really.

Vegetarian options: You can substitute tofu in most of the entrees. Kung pao tofu is delicious.
