Food was good but the portions were horrible! Not the best place to eat if you want a good gyro. We ordered the platter and received just enough meat for 1 gyro. I'm used to ordering elsewhere and getting a fair portion for the $12 meal. They charge you to add chicken to a salad but then remove the gyro and only give the chicken....that makes NO SENSE when it's a Greek gyro salad. Not happy, won't order again.

Should have just ordered from Kostas to start with but used Google to search local restaurants tonight. We ordered a gyro platter instead of just the sandwich so we could get alot of me and received 9 pieces of gyro! Just enough for a sandwich. I ordered the gyro salad and added chicken for $2.49 and received chicken INSTEAD of gyro. Why the upcharge if I'm not adding, I'm replacing. Also I would have ordered just the gyro had I known adding chicken would remove it completely. Foods great but for the money spent, we barely got any food!

Was pretty good. Price was fair at $3.89, also no one else in the area sells close by. I ordered hot dog with everything plus sport peppers but they took them off lol. Only real complaint is that the veggies were very thinly sliced. Check the photos

Gianelli's is a special hidden gem! The food is excellent and the service is superb! Everytime I go Drew is so sweet and takes his time making sure our order is what it should be. The beef and gyros are sooo good and we LOVE their homemade chips. In addition, we also at the last minute, celebrated my mom's birthday! Drew and his cashier were SO accomadating for the eight of us! He even allowed us to reserve a large table at the busy lunch hour! Thank you Gianellis!
First time customer and last time customer ordered the hot dog special yesterday very skimpy hot dog like a toothpick find the cheapest Vienna they can on the chicago-style hot dog you're supposed to put a pickle spear they take a pickle and put it on a deli slicer and give you a little sliver very skimpy on the tomatoes Also order the gyros very skimpy on the meat not even enough meat the fit on the pita how cheap can you get They gave me a little thing of your white sauce small wasn't even filled up to the top they got my money once never again I've been to a lot of hot dog in gyro places in Chicago and suburbs this is the worst I've ever seen I guess people in Crystal lake giving you reviews good have never been anywhere else so they don't know any better

So this is about two specific items, I cannot attest to anything else. 1) The char-grilled chicken Caesar wrap is on point a eff. Ask to add croutons (which they do and it is so great) to get that extra crunch. Will never order one outside of Gianelli's again. 2) The mozzarella sticks are what mozzarella sticks are. Aight. But the marinara sauce to dip them in seems house made. If it isn't, let me know where they buy it from because it is DELISH.
So I cannot tell you about the whole menu, but if you want a good chicken Caesar wrap, come here and ask to add some croutons. It is on point and if you try it and disagree, let me know and we can hash it out. I KID! You'll enjoy it.
