Great food very good service plus free watermelon dessert
Server was great, as was our chef.
Outstanding service and delicious food.
A delightful experience, both for your eyes as well as for your tastebuds!
recommend it !
Excellent food. Very fresh sushi. Great miso soup. Nice service.
It was a rainy cold day so not many people out for lunch, but definitely worth a visit.
Great sushi for good price.
Japanese Restaurant serving Ramen, Making Rolls and mixed bowls. It was quiet good music and great service!
Great food, quiet atmosphere and amazing service. I read some of the negative reviews and just haven’t experienced anything remotely close to what they were saying anytime I have eaten at Kumi.
We ate here last night. The service was great. The area we were seated in looked rather dated and worn dowb with the red paint chipping from the walls.
We ordered.
Eel: Was a bit fishy in a bad way.
Yellowtail: was pleasant order a second.
Lion king roll: cost $22 and tasted of one note, creamy avacado. Couldn't taste anything else.
Dragonroll: Once again creamy avacado and bad fishy eel tasted nothing else.
App was crab ragoon: was rather good.
A few hours later we both ended up having terriable gas that made it hard to sleep.
I think the Eel had spoiled.
Also the sushi kept falling appart. The rice acted as if there was nothing holding it together. Ended up with more rice in the soy sauce dipping dish then in me.
Won't be returning. We will just take the extra few minutes to drive out to Minami Sushi in Streamwood instead.
Good food, great service!! If you love good food this is the right place ❤️♥️

I used to pick up lunch here all the time and it was always good. Until I was served tuna sashimi that had clearly gone south. It wasn't just a little too fishy, it smelled like rot, and the color was off, like grey/brown. How it made it past anyone I don't know. So probably won't go back. It was unacceptable and should have never been missed.

“Absolutely fantastic experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh, and the teppanyaki was cooked to perfection right before our eyes. The chefs were not only skilled but also very entertaining, making the whole dining experience fun and engaging. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who were attentive to every detail. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a memorable night out. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a unique dining experience

Wow! I definitely have a new favorite sushi place in town. The food was very delicious and high quality, came out quickly, at very reasonable prices, and the service was wonderful. It couldn't have gone better. An absolute pleasure, can't wait to return again.

I really wanted to like this place, since it's a nice place with good service, but the food just wasn't that good. Maybe I was unlucky, or maybe, it's because it was lunchtime, but the fish didn't taste fresh at all and the sushi had way too much rice, specially the niggiri.
