We went in for ribs and found out that they are only served on the weekends. So sadly, we were not able to try their food. There are some slot games and cozy atmosphere.

I like to support local businesses however this place easily lost my vote today. Service took way too long and the food was short of good. A few cheese curds we ordered were still frozen in the middle. The pulled pork was actually pretty good but the Mac on the side was flavorless. It cost 2 adults and a child over $70 to eat! 2 sandwiches an appetizer and a kids meal 😬

I ordered the Brisket with no sauce , because you don't put sauce on brisket. We'll noontime has wonderful brisket it does stand by its self. Moist and tender and elastic as it should be . I do endorse this BBQ restaurant for your enjoyment of BBQ.

Moontime Smokin’ Que is a fantastic addition to the downtown Crystal Lake restaurant scene! You know that undeniable craving for BBQ—the one that won’t go away until you satisfy it? Last week, I had that exact craving, and I’m so glad to have a spot nearby that delivers.

They have all the traditional BBQ staples, but they also serve up some pretty magical brisket and pulled pork tacos—so good that I failed to photograph them because I was too hungry to wait!

Enter the Brisket Grilled Cheese—an absolute game-changer. This isn’t just any grilled cheese; it’s indulgence on another level. Melted cheddar jack and gruyere envelop tender, smoky chopped brisket, all nestled between perfectly toasted sourdough. But what truly ties it all together? The blueberry chipotle BBQ sauce for dipping—sweet, smoky, and just the right kick of heat to make each bite unforgettable.

The mac n’ cheese was super creamy and still tasted great cold when I brought it home—always a good sign! And if you're looking for a fresh, bright side to balance out the richness of the grilled cheese, I’d definitely recommend the cucumber salad.

This is the ultimate adult grilled cheese—pure comfort food with a gourmet twist. It’s the kind of sandwich that makes you smile, bringing out your inner child while satisfying the most grown-up of BBQ cravings. Moontime Smokin’ Que has officially earned a top spot on my go-to list!

Very good brisket, almost everything is gluten free or can be, except for the corn bread and Mac n cheese. Staff friendly, and helpful with making a choice. I thought the price was excellent for what you were getting.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options, ask server, no gluten in sauces or meat rubs

Food was pretty good, the blueberry sauce is nothing to snooze on. Their smoked meats are legit. Porch swing was yummy, the Mule was just ok. Solid place.

The staff is always pleasant, and when the Ribs are ready, they are great too. The good thing is there are plenty of other foods on the menu also.

We ordered slab of ribs and pulled pork sandwich with baked beans , mac and cheese and coleslaw. Ribs were good, lots of meat on them and the beans were tasty. But Wasn’t a fan of the bbq sauce . It was almost tart. The cole slaw was not good at all… it was like plain chopped cabbage. The mac and cheese was forgettable.. just not flavorful or cheesy. The cheese curds were a big disappointment… Culvers has better cheese curds… Id go to Texas Roadhouse before Id go here. Hubby liked the Ribs so I gave 3 stars..

This place was cold temptress wise couldn't wait to leave. It is not comfortable to eat in the cold. No hot drinks to be served, no coffee or tea. Never heard of a restaurant that did not have coffee, but we found one!
Food was good.

We went to Moontime a couple weeks ago at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening and were told they were COMPLETELY out of food. We took that as a good sign (or poor planning) and went back last Friday. The food was delicious and fresh. We found the prices to be fair until we received the check. Each of our items had an increased price to cover the use of using a credit card. Who carries cash anymore? I believe it was 4%. They also have a $3 split fee. Just tired of everyone nickel & diming us to death. However, I would definitely go back with cash!

I meant to put this in sooner. I went in just before Thanksgiving and end up catering my whole Thanksgiving dinner. The owners are wonderful and our dinner was deliciously perfect. Packed to easily reheat any items we wanted to but must was table ready. Mac Cheese, brisket, turkey, ribs and all the sauces we needed. I put on some veggies at the house and boom we were feasting. It was so easy. Price was less than store and had more time with my kids. Thank you!
