Nana’s Deli has the BEST food, the most awesome people that work there and the owners are just genuine, kind, and really great folks. I tell EVERYONE I know about this place, and am a loyal customer myself. I have never been disappointed in the slightest. Great spot, great food, and great people - every single time. Feels like you’re with family! ?? highly recommend!!!

We went there today knowing they had gluten free bread. They did not disappoint. The gluten free bread was amazing. So much meat. Worth every bite. The owners were so friendly.

MY FIRST EVER REVIEW! I couldn't leave this place without showing my appreciation for this great shop.. The sandwich artist that made our food was so helpful with choices and really easy to talk to, leaving the most friendly impression. Thanks Sammy. It turns out she is the owner along with her husband, who explained, what exactly was pastrami. The sandwiches are huge! Be prepared to have some left overs. Do yourself a favor and stop in this delicious sandwich shop. :) 5 stars!

Outstanding all around! Nana is the sweetest lady! I could seriously taste the love in the sandwich that I ordered! Also the Matzo ball soup was so yummy and comforting I enjoyed every bite! 10/10 would recommend Nanas for their food and their warm customer service!

Fantastic deli. Superb sandwiches, gotta do the Waldorf or build your own concoction. Nice maza ball soup and vegetarian choices as well as gluten free options. This is a terrific little treasure well worth coming back to.

This deli has huge sandwiches and great choices of sides. All sandwiches are made to order and very fresh. We like to split one sandwich for lunch because it’s huge and then no left overs!

WOW!!! This is the best lunch spot in the area. Look at all the meat they put in the sandwiches! They really put the chain sub shops to shame. Ill definitely be back to try their other sandwiches. Super friendly service too. I'm impressed.

Literally just finished our Waldorfs in the van outside; my tastebuds are weeping with joy, and also grief because it was over all too soon. Can’t wait to eat here again!

So if you know me, you know I love New York and I am a self labeled expert on Big apple cuisine. That said, my MIL pointed this place out when it was opening. I was extremely excited because while I am newish to the Crystal Lake/Cary area I haven’t found too many dining establishments that I really care for. So it took me a few months but I decided I have free time and went to grab a sandwich at NNYD. So I am expecting a replica of other NYC delis and I didn’t get that unfortunately. I asked if they made their own pastrami or corn beef and I was told it comes from a distributor. Basically I was hoping for a hot “Katz deli” like pastrami with someone cutting a hot one right in front of me. Not the case but I am open minded as I will indulge in a Potbellys or Jersey Mike’s sandwich on occasion. Based on a suggestion from one of the workers at NNYD, I went with the Gabagool. Basically it’s a take on an Italian sub you can find at most Italian delis and sub shops. Personally I really miss Fontano’s in Hinsdale because it is the standard I compare against when it comes to Italian subs. Anyway I was a bit disappointed in NNYD’s sandwich. The bread was Turano bread which I absolutely love. So kudos to them for knowing good bread. However the meats and sauce (oil and vinegar) just didn’t do it for me. I would give them another shot to try another sandwich and I’ll see how that goes. However the sandwich and the bag of chips was like 15 bucks. A bit on the pricey side and I’m all for paying it if I’m a fan but in this circumstance it wasn’t up to par. I was a bit disappointed because two things. A) I was hoping for a true NYC experience like fresh bagels with lox and a schmear, maybe a bacon egg and cheese or even a chopped cheese…and not just some borough named sandwiches and imported black and white cookies and B) I saw a review in the Cary chat w/ pic and someone said the sandwich is top notch. I just think that maybe…me being from Chicago, my taste buds are a little different than the fine people of McHenry County. I want to love this place so I will try again. What does a guy have to do to get a good Matzoh soup and a latke?

All I can say is “holy crap!“ I was recommended by restoration one in Crystal Falls, I walked in and one of the owners Dan greeted me like he knew me for many many years, since I was blind it Dan was outstanding and friendly as hell! And standing and I asked a bunch of questions, and by the time I walked out of there I ate “foot-long polish sausage, and two unbelievable New York sub sandwiches! All I can say is holy crap! The customer service there is like they have known you for years, I will be going back as well as my boss Mark Woppert from Smoke Out Cleaners every 2-3 months!

First time customer, ordered for 6 of us at work. After hearing about all the good reviews, I however, was sadly disappointed. Ordered 3 different "specialty" sandwiches and 3 build your own. The cucumber salad was decent. The insides of the sandwiches were good but the bread was a very bland white bread and everything fell apart, and out of it, easily. Felt like they might possibly have been better suited for a sub type bread. The oil and vinegar blend was the only thing that gave the sandwiches any flavor. The pickles that came with our sandwiches were disgusting. Nothing shy of a cheap off brand pickle and were small, old, wrinkly and bitter. I felt like for the prices of the sandwiches, the quality was definitely lacking.

Nana’s deli is amazing. I had the Gabagool sandwich. It was packed with so much meat. I could only eat half of the sandwich. The restaurant is decorated very well. I love the pictures of the sandwiches. The staff was very friendly and explained the ingredients very well. We will definitely be back. I also got the matzo ball soup for lunch tomorrow and tasted that. Delicious! The pickle was even incredible! I love a good deli and this place tops them all!
