Papa Saverio's Pizzeria

Papa Saverio’s Pizza is some of the best pizza I ever had! I love getting their slices, they are big and delicious. I last visited on Sunday, August 31st, 2025 and did takeout slices. They only had pepperoni and sausage pizza by the time of day but It was still tasty and delicious and takeout service is the quickest takeout service I have ever experienced. They cater high school sports games in the area too at least, and I very much recommend! We make sure we stop in at least every once in a while! Especially with football now in season! Six of us met for dinner. It was great! Large pizza, salads, three appetizers, three dinners, beverages, and desserts. We had great service and the food was excellent!

I stopped in with a coworker to grab a slice, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to the behavior of the young woman working the register. She was noticeably rude, lacked basic customer service skills, and came across as irritated from the moment we stepped up to order.

When I tried to clarify that our orders were separate, her only response was a curt “yeah, cash or card,” without making any effort to listen or engage. My coworker then asked to add a drink, and she responded with visible frustration, as if we were inconveniencing her by simply ordering food.

I understand that everyone has off days and outside stress can bleed into work—but it is never acceptable to treat customers with such attitude. A little professionalism and kindness go a long way, especially in customer-facing roles. Disappointed with the service today.

My food was quite good but I felt the person who took my order was annoyed I was there ordering food…did not return my pleasantries and yeah I didn’t feel overly welcome. I would appreciate to feel welcomed when spending $15 on a sandwich.

Last night we ordered from Papa Saverio’s in Crystal Lake and were blown away! The pizza was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, cheesy and flavorful on the inside. Their crust has that ideal balance of chew and crunch, and the toppings tasted fresh and generous.

We also tried their pasta and garlic bread — both were outstanding. You can tell they care about quality and flavor in everything they serve.

Definitely one of the best local pizza spots around. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, satisfying Italian comfort food!

I just moved into town and tried their pizza for first time, and no kidding, it was one of the best Pizza I have had. We ordered the Saverio’s stuffed pizza and it met our expectations very well!

Ordered delivery. Tipped well. This driver decided to place pizza on my wet porch ( from rain). The pizza was drenched in tomato juice literally. Used 14 paper towels to try and absorb all the tomato juice puddled on top. Wouldn’t recommend based on cost.

I’ve placed two orders now through Uber eats and both times the orders were canceled with a generic currently available. I double checked and yes the store was open.

I recently moved to Crystal Lake and was looking for great delivery options. I have tried several other places that were recommended by friends, but I really love Papa Saverio's. I love their pizza, the breaded mushrooms and especially the wings. The garlic Parmesan wings are beyond compare.

Delivery is reliable! The food is warm when I get it.
