The burrito I had has got to be the worst burrito I have ever eaten.The tacos had no flavor, the Chicken flautas had no flavor and were barely full of chicken. Don't come here, don't order take out here. Don't waste your time this place is NO GOOD.If there was a way to leave no stars I would. Waste of $40

Ordered a Carne Asada burrito. It came with meat, beans, sour cream, cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce. Meat was minimal while lettuce was plentiful. It was cut in half which I like as burritos can be hard to keep together when uncut. Food came out fast and was presented well. Overall had minimal taste and I would say needed salt and more char on the steak. Even with adding salsa the burrito just wasn't flavorful.

Take out was not great. I ordered ahead and was told it would be 10-15 min. I showed up early, ended up waiting 20 mins thinking they were making it fresh, when I got home the food was COLD. Almost $30 for a burrito and 3 tiny tacos, not a fan.

We’ve loved this place for so long. We ordered tamales today and feel ripped off. We paid $40 for “tamales”. In each tamale there’s about a quarter sized amount of meat. The rest is a big amount of masa so they look nice and big but it’s all masa. Not worth $40 for 10 tamales. The picture shows you can fit all the meat in one tamale on a regular sized fork.

I hate giving out bad reviews but it’s part of the gig. A bit disappointed from such a highly recommended place. Service is great, atmosphere is great but the food was subpar. I order a steak burrito, meat was hella greasy and no flavor to the steak 3/10. Also order a torta de milanesa, and meat did not hit 3/10. The salsas tasted all from a can. The horchata I ordered is a powdered mix but tastes decent so I give it a 6.5/10. It’ll be very hard for me to come back knowing there’s other better spots in Crystal lake.

Everything was amazing! It was our first time and we got shrimp, chorizo, and steak tacos. All decisions! We also loved the chips and salsa, rice and beans, and Mexican coke. Everyone was so friendly. The atmosphere was fun and easy going. Definitely coming back.Dietary restrictions: I can't have dairy. But the options here were amazing and delicious.Kid-friendliness: There's a great kid menu, including chicken nuggets and fries. My kid loved them

I order some chilaquiles don't get me wrong they were very good not like my moms but yeah so i ordered them specific with NO onions and they did put onions the girl attending was on some family chisme do they fucked up my order
Food is excellent, new additions make it way better then pre pandemic. Service and taste of food is great! The Ambiance is that of a traditional Mexican joint. One of the best steak burritos in McHenry County!

Surprisingly DELICIOUS and AUTHENTIC Mexican food in what feels like the middle of nowhere! You cannot go wrong with their enchiladas, tampiquena, etc. It was all amazing. Service was great. Atmosphere was a typical hole in the wall Mexican spot.
