Met some friends here for Mexican Wednesday. Great service! The food was fine, but a little bland. I had the chicken tacos. I really enjoyed the fried flour tortilla shells but the chicken didn't seem to have any seasoning. The salsa (we ordered chips & salsa - it was not included in the meal) was good & added needed flavor to the tacos. The queso dip was good but didn't come with chips, so we had plenty of salsa & queso but not enough chips to eat them....
We had a fabulous home-cooked meal of fried chicken, baked potato and homemade coleslaw. I could eat that homemade slaw all day long, It was that good! The chicken had a light breading and good size pieces. The service was so sweet and caring we left a good tip. The restaurant itself was immaculate, you could eat off the floors
Great spot. Nice patio. If you are a rail buff like I am it's an amazing spot to watch trains. If you are staying in a Ft Madison or Burlington, it's an easy drive. They have live music as well. Cool spot.
