The food was decent. The prices were quite ridiculous considering the location inside a $100/night hotel. A simple grilled fish, veggies and mash and a single tequila should not be $44, in my opinion. The taste and portions were hearty, but not worth US prices especially given the atmosphere consisting of plastic table covers and a chipping mural. This place definitely does the job, but make sure to check the prices!! Servers were kind and the food was nicely presented, but not worth the cost.

Cool old dive bar with great steaks, chops, and the infamous Moon Burger. It'd be 5 stars if I didn't have to eat my steak on paper plates, but still a good experience.

What a great place! Not overly fancy but the food is over the top. We had the grilled pork chops, they were the best i have eaten in years! Looking forward to stopping in on our next trip though the area.

Today was my 1st time to The Moon Glo bar. We like to road trip to places near home, it was about a 40 minute drive.
I was pleased as we pulled in, cute place from outside and inside all the charm that an old school place gives, a bit of a rewind in time, but I like that vibe.
Our server/bartender was the only one working front of house, but it was a Saturday afternoon and she did a great job. She was attentive and friendly and ran the show well.
Here's where this started to go off the rails, so to speak.
I asked about ordering the steak during the day, we were in the after lunch before dinner gap, and our server informed us that all menu items were available, but she needed to set up the salad bar. She didn't seem put out or anything, happy to do it so we could have the salad bar that was included with our entree.
She brought out our silverware and salad bowls.
I was a little suspect when the bowls were paper bowls like you'd get at a family picnic, but I didn't really think more of it?

We went to the salad bar. It was very sparse in offerings. Lettuce, shredded cheese, cottage cheese, macaroni salad, pepperoncinis, beets, and French and what looked like creamy Italian dressing?
So it wasn't overwhelming impressive, but again, I was good and got lettuce, cheese, beets. Good enough.
Now the kicker. I ordered the 16oz ribeye that came with a baked potato, salad bar, Texas toast for $33.
Hey, that's cool, I don't mind spending when going out for a meal, especially when side are included, but when our entrees arrived, they were also served on a paper plate?!!?
Listen, I'm not trying to be bougie, but am I wrong to expect a steak dinner in a restaurant to be served on a real plate??
At least the silverware was real, but what a joy to cut a steak on a paper plate while sitting at what looks like a pretty cool restaurant/bar.
The food was ok, steak was ordered medium rare and was medium to medium well. The potato came wrapped in foil, but a basket of whipped spread and packets of sour cream on the side.
I don't know, but that whole thing just left me disappointed in everything after the paper plate as it seemed to have so much potential and was probably an awesome place somewhere in time?

I didn't have the heart to complain to our server, as being in the service industry for a huge chunk of my life, I'm pretty forgiving and let's be honest, she ain't the one saying, "let's serve everything on paper plates so people can complain to me about it!?!"

To the owner, come on man. Don't go out like this. If your doors are open, please invest in at least baskets for sandwiches and appetizers and real damn plates for entrees. You have to know when someone goes out for a steak, that is a reasonable expectation, right? How much money are you saving as you fill up your garbage cans?? Not a good look at all. Is this because your dishwasher is broke, or you don't want to pay someone to clean up or what? I am really curious in what world a restaurant owner thought this was a good move?

Love to come back, but probably won't.
