Food was good for cafeteria. Service was one of the worst I seen. Cashier was speaking very softly in loud environment, when explaining my 76 is hard of hearing and waiting for his hearing aids was told that no need to yell when I was telling him his total so he can pay for his food. I have worked in EMS for over 30 years, this employee needs to be re trained or moved to position that is not working with people with medical needs.

I've ate here a few times with no problem. This time I ordered Beef & Broccoli and the House fried rice (chicken, shrimp, pork) being I don't eat pork, I asked if I could substitute the pork with beef. I was told I could. Upon picking up my order, I was charged an extra $2 for an extra beef substitution. Imagine my surprise to find out that they never substituted the pork which is why I started itching my butt off thinking I was being bitten by gnat. When I realized I was having a allergic, I was forced to take a Benadryl immediately. Long story short .. check your food if you substitute pork with beef etc, to make sure they actually did it. "This was a take out order"

Granted, this is in the VA, and its audience is the VA and its visitors, so it makes sense from their main audience, just thought it might garner even more business. Not many options for students to study with coffee and a pleasant atmosphere like they have at the Patriot Cafe. ?

Busy. But that's good. The VA in Danville is fairly large. The staff and fellow patients are very helpful and outgoing.
