We have been coming to Danville Saltgrass since they opened
We love the girls who work here
Victoria and Raven are 2 of our Favorites
Although the managers are not so good
Kevin has no customer service skills whatsoever. Thank goodness for the hostess who helped us get a seat.
Laura you can tell she has rbf and not a nice person. You can tell they do not have a good relationship with the girls who work there. That's sad! We have spent lots of money here and the only reason we come back are the girls. You should really find better managers who know how to communicate and have better customer service. As well as treat the girls better who keep us coming back! Thank you!

We were staying in Danville for the Bridge Festival and we decided to stay close to the hotel and the husband wanted a steak. We saw this restaurant and stopped. We walked in and were asked if we had reservations, I said we didn’t and asked if we needed them, I was not answered. We were seated. The atmosphere was ok. Our waitress came and got our drinks quickly. We put our order in. My husband ordered the Ribeye medium rare. I ordered the wedge salad with steak and asked for it well done. Food came out and my plate was covered in blood. Steak was fixed rarer then my husbands. I motioned for the waitress and asked for a different plate (I had already taken the steak off my plate and given to my husband. I couldn’t eat it.) and the waitress said “oh ya, that would gross me out too” and came back with a different plate. I removed my salad and ate it. It was good. My husband said my steak was actually better tasting than his Ribeye. He ordered two bottles of beer. Our tab was right at $100. You’d think the food would be better and the staff would try to be better for that price. I would not recommend this location and we will not visit it again if we are ever in the area. Was a sad experience for the cost.

Not real satisfied with Saltgrass this time. I ordered an 8oz sirloin, it came out not warm at all. The bake potato was hot. The guy came over and asked if everything came out ok. I told him about the steak,he asked if I wanted to have it recooked. I told him no I will eat it cold. He didn't seem to concerned about what I said. The service wasn't the best either.probably won't be going back,we have been there about 10;times since they opened, worst night.

Very nice and clean restaurant. The server we had was very nice, informative and happy. She did a great job. Our steaks were cooked as ordered. The baked potatoe was really good. Very fluffy and hot. The bread was nothing special and the butter had honey in it. Which sounds good, but wasn't. We asked our server for regular butter. The price was right for the meal we got. The best thing was the homemade carrot cake! It was huge. Two of us couldn't eat it all. The coffee was very strong and good. Very good meal for the price.

The Ribeye that was ordered was served without the blue cheese topping that had been ordered. Thus, it was taken back to the kitchen, when the Ribeye returned it had melted blue cheese but was overcooked. Not medium as ordered.

Raine was a great server. She was very attentive to our needs. Food was wonderful. The manager, Kevin, was visible and was checking on the guests. Another great dinner and experience at Salt Grass.

We have eaten at Saltgrass Danville, Illinois several times and have yet to be disappointed! BUT this was the best meal we've had! My filet was phenomenal as was my husband's double bone pork chop! Neither of us have ever had our meat taste and cooked that good anywhere else! You made my birthday complete! BTW the couple next to us said the same thing about their steaks as well!

The Oscar Salmon sauce was warm. The mashed potato were soupy. The presentation of the food was poor. I was disappointed as I have visited the restaurant on two other occasions with clients and family the food was on point. The waitress noticed the disappointing look on my face and my guest face. She mentioned she wanted to tell us not to order the mash potatoes as they were not appealing in appearance. The aparigus was oily and not fried correctly. Not impressed for $93.00
