Whipper Snapper's Southern Grill

Loved this place. The wait staff was super friendly and professional. The owner came over and even checked on us to see if we were satisfied. The food was hot and prepared perfectly. Refills were done without our asking. This was a very enjoyable experience. I will definitely be returning.

We are new to the area and seen this cute little restaurant.. Friendly staff and was greated. We ordered the steak dinners with our sides and a salad bar.. everything was to how we wanted it..Most definitely be coming back again...

We have tried Whipper Snapper's three times. Each time the menu and experience was different. They are pretty pricey, but the food is excellent. Management and staff are so-so. They are friendly, but not very knowledgeable. Prices and hours keep changing so it's hard to know when they are open or what to expect. Live entertainment is nice when available. During the last visit, we ordered their advertised Two Steak Dinner Special. We never got salads until we were leaving and never got rolls. The steak was very good, but there isn't anything that makes me want to keep going unless they can offer some consistency. I hope this review encourages the owners to work with their staff a little more to continue offering unique experiences to visitors of downtown Danville.

My family & I visited. Friendly waitress! Everyone enjoyed their meals even though I just had the salad bar. limited selection, but it was all fresh. Their buffet wasn’t open which is understandable because it wasn’t very busy

Great place to eat. Food is cooked fresh to order and it's authentic Louisiana cuisine at its best. They even make their Gumbo fresh to order!

The service and food was delightful. Told others about the southern food and service,Pretty sure it will be crowded often.

Ordered the mac and cheese and a baked potato. Mac was seriously inedible and has a foul odor. Potato was completely wrong and had all the ingredients that were supposed to be removed. Not to mention food was stone cold. Tried to call at least 8 times to make a complaint and no answer. So unprofessional and bad food. Don’t even get me started on the terrible owner. 0/10 would not recommend don’t waste your money.

Short of Help. Bright half of my order out. Was ready to go when other half of order brought. Our waitress was very pleasant, she should have quit. Oh drive thru had sign, closed because of no staff.A positive, my grandson is very picky, but he liked his meal....that's are. Thank you

Iv been to Snappers once mind you so ..Has a bar,gamble machines and a buffet .. now if we could have more of all the above would be even better than they are now. I enjoy the idea of a buffet again but I couldn't serve myself so I couldn't get past that fact other than that they did well with the food and service and do deserve our support with nice manager and service staff I feel anyone in the area try them and heck the banquet areas upstairs are with some suburb artistic talent ..rent one soon as they nice place for a party. I highly enjoyed the establishment and wait for for more lunch food items at lunch time buffet? Would be excellent. I would refer a friend and would return.

It was the worst dining experience I’ve ever been apart of. We had my father in-laws birthday dinner there with roughly 16 people. After an 1.5 hours half of the table never received their food. If someone from are party did not ask about the food we would have never found out they forgot to put our order in. I would not recommend anyone to eat here until the get new staff and management. I wish them the best, but at this rate they will not be in business very long.

First time at this place today. Excellent food and service. Tried the jambalaya and red beans and rice. True creole comfort food along with the catfish. Glad to have a new and original restaurant in Danville.

The food was good. We didn't get all of what we ordered. The service could have been better. The tea was nasty.

Tried the buffet even though the selection wasn't large the food was well flavored and tasted great. They have a mix of traditional southern cooking and some Cajun specialties. Great opportunity to try some Cajun food.

Excellent authentic cajun food. Great staff, cool atmosphere, and a great value at $12.99 buffet. My new favorite restaurant in Danville.

This place is under brand new management. The new manager just arrived on Friday. The food was excellent. We arrived for taco Tuesday on the buffet. Meats for the tacos included: shrimp, fish, steak asada, and pulled pork. The sides included jambalaya, corn casserole, slaw, roasted potatoes and a salad bar. The food was excellent and only exceeded by the service we had. Emily was awesome
