“The layout was welcoming. Our server, Marlen, was attentive, there was no nickel and dime on additional chips and salsa (red chile) and the food was nicely displayed and certainly had an expected kick to it based on its name, and a restaurant we will consider going back to.“

“Do not pass up the chance to stop at this wonderful distillery. Myself and two others on a business trip from Cincinnati when we discovered this place by accident, and we are glad we did. Do not listen to old Reddit or Yelp comments about their spirits, everything we sampled was amazing. I walked out with a bottle of their single barrel bourbon. The bartender/distiller was amazing, when she told me I was drinking a two year, I couldn't believe it. I guessed it was aged at least ten years by the wonderful notes and smoothness. If I get up that way again, I'm definitely grabbing some more, and sampling their other offerings.“

“Our first experience at this local place. I had high expectations, so I will need to visit again. The hostess seated us quickly, the place was pretty empty for a Friday at noon-ish. The busser brought us water and silver immediately. Great first impression. Step in the server? Not so impressed, a little crass and seemed “irritated” and like we were wasting his time. Maybe he was mad we came so close to closing time (2:30pm) but he never once told us his name, nor did he act like he cared. Food was good, but it was not even WARM. I ordered crepes and they were cool to the touch. Again, maybe I expected too much. I’d like to see specialty coffees (you have a FULL service bar and endless mimosas but no specialty coffees?). I’d also like to see free refills for JUICE, instead of charging $4.00 for a highball glass of cranberry. And I’d definitely like to see some ability to combo - think Egg Harbor or something - if I want I add eggs and bacon it shouldn’t all be side orders. Lastly, for a small family owned restaurant, I was expecting competitive pricing. I was surprised at how expensive it seemed. $14.00 for crepes? Breakfast shouldn’t be $115 for 4 people. It just shouldn’t. I will leave open the 1% chance that our server was just having a bad day. I will give it one more try.“

“This was our first visit and won’t be our last. We shared the charcuterie board, bao buns, and the cookie skillet. All were very good. Our server was helpful and appropriately attentive. Bar service was very good. 100% recommend. Would be particularly fun for a group (lots of items for sharing). We will go back and work our way through the menu! We watched a few groups enjoy many items and one looked better than the next.“

“My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. The salad was missing the pecans but I forgot until I left, I thought something was missing. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The ratio of shrimp to half portion was good. Mac N Cheese was ok. Noodles were undercooked and some still hard/crunchy edges and cheese sauce was just average and a bit gritty/thick. However, I was not expecting my meal to be served with plastic wrapped plastic utensils. a take home box for salad and a take home container for dining in. That was disappointing. the table of eight next to me was a bit shocked too to get their meals in to go cardboard containers.“

“We visited Lago last night for the first time. I was honestly prepared to be “under-whelmed” due to all the hype and somewhat expensive menu, however, we were very pleasantly surprised! Our server, Randy, was new but did a great job. The GM and Manager both stopped by our table to check in on how things were going. We ordered the Peccorino Rolls which were AMAZING. I tried 2 of the special Old Fashioneds and they were both excellent!! For dinner, my husband had the NY Strip and I had Surf & Turf and we were both very happy with our meals. I had read that it was very noisy in there, but we sat on the patio and I didn’t find it to be noisier than any other restaurant on a Friday night. Overall, we were very happy and will definitely go back.“

“Wanted some pizza I can't get at home and boy did you all deliver! Excellent pie! I can't get a good wood fired pizza where I live and stuck with subpar pizza and ingredients. If I'm ever back in Schaumburg I'm getting another pizza for sure!!! Only issue is I can't get your pizza in northern Michigan. 🤣 5/5 one of the best pizzas I've ever gotten , especially a take out pizza! So dang good!“

“Downtown atmosphere and food right here in Mount Prospect! The menu was small and there were no specials however everything we had was terrific. The cocktails were well crafted and the atmosphere was energetic but not loud like so many restaurants without carpet can be these days. The waitress we had was pleasant and professional. I ordered a cappuccino and she told me they were having issues with the machine getting proper foam but she would try it. When it arrived the foam was kinda sad and I jokingly said I was going to include it in a review, when the check came she had taken it off the bill . I was surprised as we were just kidding around but it was a real nice touch, something that is missing from so many places these days. Hope they do well, we will definitely be returning!“

“I absolutely love this place! I live in Highland Park, so I find myself visiting often, and each time is a great experience. The service is awesome, and the staff is kind. The only thing is that the music is too loud!!!“

“The first thing you notice is the farm house decor. The menu is American fare with a hint of some southern dishes. The staff is great considering it can get busy after 8:30 am. There’s plenty of parking and weather permitting. They have outside seating.“
