The service was extraordinary. Huge shot out to Mel, Kyle and Gaby for helping me with the menu and staying patient with me when I was being picky. The food itself was really good, I got the chipotle glaze it had a tangy, mild kick to it which I loved. When I moved over to the dining room it looked really clean and stocked in items. I certainly recommend for you guys to try the house made drinks!

We were regulars and it was not always perfect like if we order right before they close yet Kyle and his team did not make my order properly. Kyle the team lead and other guy working put only arugula for the base no rice. Right after I sat down I notice there was no rice I did not even touch the food. They insisted they put rice and it did not have rice for my dine in order.
Then Kyle made me bring the food back and show him repeatedly and he thought he saw one grain of rice yet kept making me mix the bowl which he then corrected himself saying he did not see any rice. Then gave one scoop of rice.
The worker who made the food did not apologize.
Other customers say you do not get double ingredients when you request them I think they did it with the chicken for me also repeatedly yet the food was good so I did not say anything.

Honestly I had pretty good experiences coming here up until today. I placed a pickup order and even paid for EXTRA protein and I’m struggling to find chicken anywhere in the bowl? I’ve gotten more protein not paying for extra. Almost $16 dollars and I feel completely scammed. Will never be coming back here.

The menu board does not list ingredients in the sandwiches, salads, and bowls. I had to ask the VERY PATIENT and COMPETENT employees what was in this, and what was in that. Luckily there was no one else in line. They used to have paper menus with the ingredients listed but now it's just a photo of the item with no description. The salads and bowls we got were large, fresh, delicious, and a good value. The place was clean and bright. We each got a roll and chocolate strawberry with our entree. But the stress from the ordering standpoint put a damper on my experience.

The friendliness/great soups, sandwiches and salads can't be beat. There is such a variety, I go once a week with friends. Perfect place for women as they offer 1/2 servings. Not that it isn't great for men. There are always equal numbers. Whole servings are terrific for larger eaters but for lunch, I prefer the half servings and the price is definitely affordable. Portions are generous. AND, each meal includes a roll and and chocolate covered strawberry. My only problem with the menu is that there is such variety that I have difficulty deciding what I will eat because I like so many of them. The soups are terrific and are enough for a meal. The veggie soup has an unbelievably delicious bouillon base. My friends get the chicken enchilada chili soup..so good. And they have specials frequently that are terrific. I love the golden curry chicken soup. If you can't decide they let you have half of bowl of two different soups. They heat the sandwiches if requested which makes them panini-like. My friends share a sandwich for lunch. (They don't care how little you order.) I love the turkey avocado club. I also love the salad selection. My favorite is the California Club. There are many, many dressing choices and you get a choice of three types of lettuce. AND there is avocado on many of the choices. They also have a very affordable kids menu. The restaurant is extremely clean and so are the washrooms. The choice of beverages is good as is the choice of desserts. The staff is terrific. Always so, so friendly!!! And efficient. I can't say enough about Cafe Zupas in Deerfield. I feel like I'm advertising but I have no connection with this establishment, I just love it!
I have to say, Deerfield has to have some of the best and worst employees I have ever met in food business. Most days I have fun and bright experiences with Kyle and Melissa! They’re an absolute blast to chat with and they always have a smile on their faces. Some of the kindest souls I know who always serve me delicious meals on my hardest days. However, I must admit that my last visit with Nicole was quite distasteful. She was very snappy with me, and I felt completely unwanted there. When I asked for my receipt she just sighed and slammed it on the counter for me. Very rude and I really wouldn’t recommend visiting while she’s around.

As usual the Deerfield IL location is my favorite. Not only was my favorite employee, Nicole, working but the food was so good. The new Citrus Crunch protein bowl was delicious and so crisp. The dressing was light and refreshing. I also got a Dubai strawberry cup. A definite decadent treat. Thank you Nicole, you always make my dining experience wonderful!
