Came here everyday for my daily fix while in the area for work. I got to spend some time the first two days talking with the owner and one of her daughters. I immediately was made to feel welcome and a part of the family. They roast onsite, the coffee is amazing and the pastries are fantastic. I brought two bags of their coffee home with me. Anytime I am back in this area, I will be going back. Go support a local small business by having a great cup of coffee.

Best coffee shop in the state. Maybe the nation. Friendliest ownership/staff. Fresh ingredients. Done with plastic tasting coffee from Starbucks? Then come here. These guys are the best. If I could I’d give 10 stars.

Cortados are usually about 4 ounces; they informed me that theirs is two shots and equal parts milk. That would be around 4 oz, since a single espresso shot is around 1 ounce. The drink I received is at least 10 ounces. I wanted what was described, a smaller, stronger drink. It took over 7 minutes to prepare despite no other orders at all, and no one waiting. They seem to have forgotten about my drink immediately as one worker asked the other why I was standing there.I stay informed about the war in Gaza, I would rather not see pictures of children and adults who are missing, held hostage, or dead when I go out for coffee. I go out to feel comfortable and relaxed, not unsettled. This is a hospitality settling and this display -- at eye level for children -- is disturbing and upsetting. It also turns the cafe into a politicized space and I imagine that can get very uncomfortable for people working there, as has happened elsewhere. I just don't want to read dozens of "kidnapped" posters while waiting for my drink to be prepared.Espresso in my drink tastes burnt and smoky. This drink is also way too hot and the milk is not as sweet as it could be if it was heated less.I would never go there again.

Kaye’s coffee is delicious. I never really liked coffee until I tried hers. She takes great care to make the best tasting coffee, and she truly succeeds. I bring a bag of beans to all my friends and family. Everyone loves it! My personal fave is Summer Daize. Medium roast, smooth, so much flavor!! When I’m at the shop, I get a perfect latte, every time. And the pastries…..so much yum! Fresh. Delish. Muffins, croissants, cake, biscotti, healthy nut bars…. Even bagels.Stop by the Wild Roaster. You won’t be disappointed!

Happy to find Coffee House open at the Lake Cook Metra stop after work. Enjoyed a hot decaf and warm atmosphere on a cold and rainy evening! Still open and serving at 6:00pm.

This is seriously one of the best espresso drinks I've ever had. The flavor is incredible. Adorable cafe, too, and the owner is very friendly.

For starters, I am not the biggest coffee drinker but I do occasionally like some caffeine. The location is within the train station which is pretty unique and cool. The inside is very cute and welcoming. The staff are also very welcoming and kind but the coffee I had wasn’t so great. The coffee that I got was the white chocolate mocha hot coffee. I decided to go with this one as I enjoy the taste of Starbucks version of it. The coffee was warm which was great but the taste was not so great for me. The coffee was very watered down and seemed to have that fake syrup flavoring. It also gave me the acidic stomach feeling after a while. Maybe some of the other options for drinks they have are better but I just didn’t enjoy mine. The price seemed to be a little pricey for me for a 12oz drink. I didn’t get to try their pastries but they did look very appetizing.

I have been buying our drip coffee from Kay for about 3 years. I bring all my friends to The Wild Roaster to have a real sit down cup of coffee. Three weeks ago I had back surgery so my husband did the coffee run that I normally do. He told kay about my surgery and she gave him a special treat for me. This is an owner who truly cares about her customers!!! I encourage everyone to buy their coffee here. I especially love her scones! Yum!!!

I love this place, and the people who run it are the nicest people. Just keep an eye out for your train. The sound is sealed off.
