My husband and I were in town for our Anniversary and my birthday and decided to give City Barbecue a try! I got the smoked and fried wings, banana pudding, and a side salad. My husband tried the Cowboy and said that it was great!The wings were amazing!!! The salad was super fresh and the banana pudding was almost as good as mine! Lol The ambiance was quiet and enjoyable and the sauce variety was great! Will definitely be back!

I live in Kansas City (and have lived there most of my life) and I'm a bit of a BBQ afficianado, so I know a thing or two about BBQ joints. As such, this place is not anywhere near my home. It's north of Chicago.
Considering the finite capacity of my stomach, I haven't been able to sample much from this place yet. But I have found the pork belly burnt ends to be delicious. Also, I had never heard of corn pudding before, so I was feeling adventurous enough to try it. I'm glad I did. I think I love that stuff.
So the pork belly burnt ends were juicy and tender with a sweet honey-based glaze that really went well with them. None of the BBQ sauces that you can add to a little cup were able to improve on the flavor over the honey glaze, so it's probably best to eat them just as they come. At least that's my opinion.
The corn pudding is really more like cornbread, but with actual kernels of corn in it, and significantly more moist than cornbread. It was almost like a sweet, moist, corn cake.
I was stuffed after that meal, so I ordered some banana pudding to go. Can't wait to try it.
Plenty of parking. No dedicated motorcycle parking. Place was clean. Restroom was clean.
I will visit again next time I'm in town.
