Went for a late afternoon family birthday dinner. The menu selection, food quality, authenticity, ambiance were all second to none. I recommend the Yemista (stuffed peppers and tomatoes filled with beef and rice) served with Greek potatoes and veggies. Other family members had the Dolmades, Pastitsio, and Makaronada, all of which were mouth watering and done right! Avgolemono was glorious, and the Saganaki was awesome, spot on-not dry or too salty. Portions are generous and yet dont leave you stuffed but satisfied. It felt like we were in Greece. OPAA! You must eat here! Bravo Dimitri's and all the staff, σας ευχαριστούμε!

I grew up going to Halsted St, restaurants for family Greek dinners as a kid, and judge a lot by those experiences as well as my papou and yia yia's Sunday cooking. Went for a late Sunday afternoon family birthday dinner. The menu selection, food quality, authenticity, ambiance were all second to none. Everything was solid, except that the main dishes came out too quickly. We were enjoying our appetizers and about halfway through the meals came out. The food quality and prices were very good. Definitely will return.

There were 9 of us all together. We started out with several appetizers. 3 of the 4 were outstanding. The 4th was OK. For our entrees, I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the whitefish. Both were cooked to perfection. Our server had a smile on his face all evening and interacted with us often. We had a wonderful evening.

Waiter (Asian guy) was great. Food was solid but we were thinking it was a bit higher end Greek - it was really the basic Greek restaurant. Thought the room was nice but flooded with light like a cafeteria- which only accentuated the weird brown colored walls.

The food is always very good and worth the price. We eat there pretty often and have always enjoyed our dining experience. I think the owners name is Sam and he couldn't be nicer. He is friendly and usually goes from table-to-table greeting his patrons and making sure the service and food is good.

We sat by the fire place in January and it was very cozy. The food was delicious. I had scallops, cooked to perfection. Our waiter was attentive.Dietary restrictions: They did have several item on the menu marked gluten free.
Had a lunch for our anniversary. Appetizers of roasted eggplant spread & grilled country sausage were good. Main course. Stuffed peppers & combo plate both of us enjoyed very much. All dishes were large amounts and needed doggy bag to take home. They gave us a free dessert of Baklava but not so good. It seemed old.

Wow, out family was blown away by our first visit to Demetri's. The food was absolutely delicious. We are no strangers to Greek food and these were some of the best classic dishes we've ever had. The service was also excellent. Our waiter, Demetri, was friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be back!
Meals always very good. Good value, meal comes with soup or salad. Owners are amazing people. First time for me having sea bass and it was delicious. Everything on the menu is excellent
