Meh. Been here a couple times and it was not very good. The meet was dry, prices were high, and my whole family left disappointed. Even the beans were too dry to eat. This place was not good and even though I get coupons, I still don't want to go back. It wasn't horrible, but it was not enjoyable either.

A very nice sit down restaurant in Deerfield. It has a real family/ romantic setting. The drinks are delicious and all the staff are friendly.

This was one of the worst Service I had. We had been seated for at least 30 mins and no one took our order. The Chips where Salty, there Sauce was nasty and the Margartia where very sour. The staff was walking around lost and Confused. This was my first time and I wouldn't recommend it. I don't understand how this place has 4.3 star's.P.s Its not even worth 1 star

Pre-demic, this was our go-to Mexican place. Big, huge dining room, with plenty of room for all. Of all the times we've been here I think we only had to wait a few minutes to be seated a few times. El Tradicional is a family joint, but also a busy bar (on one side) for the commuters blowing off steam after coming home on the nearby Metra, and also kind of a party spot. Many nights you've got folks getting their tables pushed together for boisterous groups of 8 or more. And there always seems to be plenty of room. For overflow they've even got a small side room with maybe four or six table in it. I say it's a family joint, because, A: if it isn't run by a family it certainly feels like it is, and, B: there's always families with kids happily eating there - and the wait staff is as patient, kind and friendly with them as if they were their own family. I actually love the wait staff. I think we know all of them by now and each and every one feels like a friend. A few issues. Sometimes the chips aren't great. Like they're off. The beans, hmm, the beans (and much of the food) might have some chipotle flavoring in them that they don't need. And the menu. There has to be about half the menu that nobody orders from. I'm both an adventurous eater, and I love Mexican more than any other food, but there I can only find about 6 things to order there, and the menu is huge. I'm not sure what the deal is but it could use a reboot, and I say this as a friend. Lastly, sometimes it just takes sooo long to get service or food. I overlook all these issues on the quality/quantity of their margaritas alone. Everything after the margaritas is just a bonus. Friendliness also. Ambience too. I would eat an old hat if I could find the blessed trinity of ample parking (almost always), strong margaritas, and exceptional friendliness. Thankfully, there are no old hats to eat, but if it's your birthday, and you let them know you will fully get the sombrero and song routine, which always cracks me up.

The service is constantly swift, good mood, nice employees. I will visit here again when I get nearby.

We ordered for pick up Saturday. The order was wrong, missing items, and written incorrectly by the restaurant. I did not get that I ordered. We also did not get the $5 credit offered for a mistake the last time we ordered. I called and essentially got excuses and an argument that we had made the mistake in ordering. That was not at all the case. And not told there was a Covid surcharge. If I am wrong, I would say so and apologize. They apparently will not. They have lost us as a customer no matter how good the food is. That's not the way to run a restaurant.

The food is pretty good. It takes a pretty long time for the servers to bring our food though. The bathrooms are somewhat clean. Their guacamole is top notch. It tastes amazing. Probably the best gauc I’ve ever had. I would recommend this place for a party or a small group.

Good steak. Rice is light, and fluffy. Chips were crispy! Tlalpeno soup, and salsa are yummy.

Our go to place when we visit the Melacon in PV. It's kitty corner to the big church. (Which you can't miss.) A couple of blocks up from the Melacon square. Top notch service and food. With THE BEST margs. Try the passion fruit one.
