I had the special Frutti de Mare. On the expensive side ($50). It was good, but not great. Could have used more shrimp or mussles and less fish. My wife had the Chicken bracollini (sp?). Filling and pasta very good, but chicken was overcooked and dry.

How are waitress, Coco, was excellent. We always request our since she is always so attentive without being intrusive. Our food was very good. I had the chicken Francesca, which was excellent and minestrone soup was the best. The, which salad has changed. There are fewer tomatoes and bacon pieces in the salad so it seems as if they are cutting back on that which made me somewhat disappointed. Hopefully it was just a one time thing. We will be back.

The appetizers were the only thing we enjoyed. Everything else was so distasteful, bland, & no taste that not even half the salt bottle could help.

First time dining here and the food , service and drinks were great. We sat at the bar which is very nice and our bartender was very friendly and made great recommendations

Disappointing birthday visit. It really does make or break your experience depending on the service you receive especially when celebrating an occasion. My mistake to have chosen this restaurant. Server did not return after we received our dishes to check on us so we couldn’t tell her all of our dishes were lukewarm. Bread was hard and old. Never received any drink refills. I believe all of our “needs” were standard at best. We felt like we were a bother as it was a Sunday night after the holidays. It just surprises me that a restaurant like this would have so many misses. I wanted to have a manager come to the table to notify them of our situation but my husband and family were already so upset overall and I didn’t want to add to the night being spoiled further. Again, choose wisely where you want to celebrate your special occasions, what a let down.

This is a nice place for casual dining. However, they told us they would have champagne and balloons for NYE but when we arrived for our reservation, we were told they couldn't get either in time. It took 20 min each time to get our menu cocktails and the waiter served them dripping and sticky😣. The food was average and choices limited. Too bad cause they are located so close to my house. I would have loved to have a great place to dine just down the street. For my experience, I'd say 4 out of 10.😩

My family was really looking forward to a fun NYE dinner, but unfortunately we did not have a very enjoyable experience at Rosenud. We had a reservation for 6:30 and were not seated until 7:15. There was no place to wait, so we awkwardly stood in the overly crowded entryway by other dining tables for 45 minutes. I even overheard the hostess telling people to go wait in their cars because the reservations were so backed up. When we were finally seated, we were crammed into a tiny table that jutted out into the walkway of servers walking back and forth. The restaurant was not prepared for the NYE crowd. To notice- We had a similar experience on Christmas Eve at Francesca's in Northbrook. However, their staff was overly apologetic about the crowd and the wait. They even comped us multiple appetizers as a courtesy. Unfortunately, Rosebud did not offer the same kind of service. If you're debating between Italian restaurants in the northern suburbs, Francesca's North is the way to go!

The menu is great and the bite of food I had was decent. But their food allergy safety is terrible. Ordered takeout. Two Baked Ziti, one without sausage, and the other with gluten free pasta. Restaurant mislabeled the regular pasta as gluten free. I did eat a half piece of pasta before knowing it was labeled incorrectly and had a small allergic reaction. When this was brought up to the manager, he brushed off the fact that he could seriously harm someone by mislabeling gluten free food and did not offer a refund of any kind. Despite the restaurant’s claims that the other dish was actually gluten free, I did not eat the food and had to throw it away because I could go into anaphylaxis and was unsure which dish actually gluten free. Only when I called back and asked for a refund did the manager refund one of the baked zitis. Unacceptable allergen protocols and service.

Deerfield Rosebud Take out: lasagna and ravioli for Christmas Day dinner was amazingly delicious. I mean Sicilian Nana level exceptional lick the plate delicious. The ravioli are our competency test of any restaurant serving Italian food. Rosebud ravioli get A+. The edges were just the right thickness and cooked perfectly. This takes skill because is so difficult to make sure the varying thicknesses of the ravioli dough are pressed together & cooked through. No “al dente” for ravioli! The rich tasting meat flavored tomato based marinara. Been going to Rosebud for years and years. They do always a good job. The meat lasagna was really good too. Generous layers of pasta sheets, ricotta and ground meats with the super good sauce. Wow!

We've eaten here before and it was good. This time, on christmas eve of all times, our waiter made this a terrible experience. He was very rude and not good at his job. He gives me the wrong check, i proceed to inform him about it and he proceeds to yell at me like I did something wrong. I had to tell him to lower his voice at one point. I told the manager that he shouldn't have someone like this working here. Besides a verbal apology from the manager, there was nothing done to make up from this experience after spending 1000 dollars! Its unfortunate I have to leave this kind of review since the food was good, but the experience wasn't.

The place was amazing and the food was good. If you are looking for someplace quiet, I do not recommend.

This is a Chicagoland institution but I had never been here! I met a friend for Friday evening happy hour which was great. They have an excellent happy hour menu.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays so the atmosphere was so warm and inviting on a Friday night!
The espresso martini was delicious and our bartender was really attentive and ensured our water glasses were constantly filled.
I cannot wait to come back to dine!

Solid Italian spot. I enjoy the pappardelle and stuffed mushrooms as my usual go-tos. A good choice for food in the Highland Park area.
