I took someone special here. She loved it. This place is beautiful and elegant and classy.

I think they are trying to do too much. Food quality has gone down while cost has gone up. I just paid $11.75 for the special and a cup of soup. Goat cheese and plum salad. Great conceptually, but spring mix was wilted, soup which use to come with the special now does not (I asked before I grabbed the soup and got a yes).

Rip Off cafe, too EXPENSIVE..49cents OZ so if you buy a leg quarter it costs almost close to a 5 star dinning restaurant..

I work in Corporate 500 and the food at the Cafe is fine but they have a per ounce bar that is an absolute rip off. I got a piece of chicken with nothing else and it was $4.50. That is absolutely outrageous for cafeteria food. Never going back

This cafeteria services the 500 Lake Cook Office Park. In a pinch or bad weather, it is an OK place to eat. During the summer, the patio provides a nice experience if you can ignore the Metra, Amtrak and freight trains going by on the tracks adjacent to the seating area. The food is tasty. Made-to-order and specialty sandwiches are the drawing card. But selection is limited and prices are high and seem to eternally evolve upwards.

I like this cafe! It's located in the buildings so it is VERY convenient. If you are in the area, you can park in any of the parking lots! Typically this is the lunch hot spot for all the office staff who do not want to leave the building or commute on the train. I will say this cafe has changed a lot from last year to this year! There is more selection and offerings than before. The menu selection and appearance of everything (food, stations) has drastically improved! One tip: GET HERE before the 12:30pm lunch rush! I often find myself strolling in past 12:45pm and it looks like there was a zombie apocalypse...no food left! The staff work hard to put out more food but literally the staff get swarmed! Pros: - Nice Staff (MARIO! & Cashier lady who I can't remember your name.. she's working today 09/30 at 12pm) - Great salad bar selection - Decent hot bar selection - Brings in a local sushi maker - Warm delicious soups - Outdoor grilling (on select days) - Nice catering selection - Calm atmosphere Areas of improvements (IMO): - I think they should start a BYO (Build your own) sandwich. They have great sandwich selection but I do not want bacon, or avocado, or gorgonzola on my turkey sandwich! Build your own will showcase all of the amazing ingredients, sauces, and breads they have!! I typically end up making my own and I get to the register and it gets confusing when trying to figure out what sandwich closely resembles the ingredients in mine. - They should offer grilled chicken for the salad-- because gone are the cold chicken days-- just a small simple sign saying 'if you want freshly grilled chicken for your salad, please come to the grill" - or expedite this and have some in the hot trays? Test it out! - People love pizza! Maybe create just a quick "grab a slice area" Test it out! There is a younger audience lately with all of the interns, new hires, and college grads. This could be a one time thing or an all the time! It's cheap in terms of ingredients. - MEXICAN RICE... is the WORST at this cafe! Rice on Taco Tuesdays (well whenever it is offered) is awful! How about letting the staff put a little bit of their skills into the cultural food. No one wants Goya packet seasoning on this awful chewy rice! - RICE in general. Where are you ordering this from? Have you tried it? If not, I advise you to. The rice is chewy! My "stir fry rice" from last week went to the trash. This rice doesn't absorb flavors. Two rice kernels hit my desk and BOUNCED! Yes.. bounced! You gotta look into this! That's all for now :) BTW: Check out their website! Simple but lets you know the offerings! Nutritional information is available too!

It's a cafeteria so unless you work in the surrounding buildings your not likely to come here. The food is average and repetitive and although in spurts it seems like they try to be creative and change things up it always comes back to the way things were... average and slightly overpriced cafeteria food. Offerings include a salad bar, deli items, grilled items and daily specials. Not much else to be said here.
