So glad we discovered this gem. Way superior to Chipotle (no comparison). Ingredients are all fresh and tasty. We tried the namesake dish Tlacoyo with vegan asada... absolutely delicious. The vegan al pastor is very flavorful, vegan asada super burrrito were all amazing. My kid had the quesadillas and elote in cup. Our go to for quality Mexican food in the area. Clean location with welcoming staff and attentive service. 🙌

This was a pretty good Mexican restaurant. It was fun to be able to order tostadas.

If you want tasty Mexican food served by a staff that has no idea what customer service is, then this place is for you!
The staff will talk back at you, give you attitude when asked to change their gloves for hygienic reasons, and they make a huge deal about giving a little extra rice.
I'm guessing they won't last long here on the North Shore.
Save yourself the headache and go to Chipotle across the street.

Loved this place with great Mexican menu, more options and great Tlcayo bowl. A good choice for vegetarian's as well. Most importantly a warm-hearted serving. Enjoyed it.

Best Mexican food I've had in a while and everyone is so nice
The restaurant is very clean, the music is nice, the service was prompt and courteous, the modelo was delicious, the elotes was tasty and hot, but everything else (carne asada taco meat was tough, rice and beans were unseasoned and cold. I ordered two tacos with the meal, but I only ate one. A little overpriced imo. I'd still revisit, because maybe this was an off day. 🤷🏾♀️

Delicious, clean, large portion, and reasonably priced
Great Mexican food with good vegan options! Hard to find a Mexican place that offers plant-based meats.

Authentic Mexican is hard to get outside the southwest (or the city of Chicago for that matter) but this place in Deerfield is totally legit. Simple, flavorful ingredients, made fresh in front of your eyes. Tacos are fantastic, and the signature Tlacoyos are great and worth a try. Run by some very nice folks, too.

I was around the area for a work visit and had seen so many good reviews so I went and tried their Vegan Carne Asada and Vegan al Pastor tacos. I had some pretty high expectations, with many people saying these were the best tacos they had tried. I was let down, unfortunately. I will not say that they were not good, they were definitely filling and had flavor. However, they were bland and I have definitely made and had better tacos. I can see how these tacos may be very good for someone that likes blander food or hasn't tried any other options, but they were not the best in my opinion. The staff was extremely friendly, however, so I would love to support them again if they have other options available! I also had an Agua de Jamaica, which I did really enjoy because it was not too sweet!
This place is a favorite of our family for excellent tlacoyos and friendly service. I particularly like their carne asada.
