A few months ago.I tasted these wholesome delicious delights. I have tasted from cochinitos, conchas, Polvorones, plus their specialty. OMG! All you have great tate...! Plus I can't find this original taste in city of Chicago. It is a must. You will love the fresh cooking scent as soon as you step into the bakery!Now in Spanish.A couple of months during covid.Step inside this delicious bakery charm. Provide everything.All types of bread have their charm and original flavor. Something that I have not been able to find in the city of Chicago. Went here yesterday. Got conchas marranitos, the turnovers with piña, and the puff pastry things with cinnamon. Sorry don't know all the names. They were all incredible. Delicious and honestly cheaper than they should be for the quality. They also sold flan and caked that look very good. They also sell candy. The guy working was very friendly and helpful. They take credit cards, but probably better to use cash. I think credit card transactions cost them.

As soon as you walk in the door, you are hit with the most amazing aroma. Every pastry I have ever had from here was wonderful. Not overly sweet with excellent flavor.

For years I have heard about Barb City Bagels, but I kept missing the time as I am usually in that area in the afternoon. Today I Made It on time and it was a wonderful, delicious experience!!! My son ordered both a lunch (turkey) bagel as well as breakfast bagel with 2-cream cheeses, I ordered Everything with half plain and half veggie to try them both, then French Toast and Cinn-Raisin Bagel-Bombs (they call them Bites, but we called them Bombs, So Good!!). All was served hot, fresh, the whole restaurant smells amazing of bakery and coffee. Relaxing atmosphere and staff was great!!

Delicious breads and cakes, they offer very good customer service. Highly recommended.

I was hungry as I was looking for a 'place to eat or something to pick up' as I had a hair appt across the street as I'm relatively new to DeKalb (3yrs) and saw this place and 'smelled' coffee :) I ordered a Cinnamon Raisin with cream cheese as well a turkey something and then I saw the cutest MUG (which I truly love) and looking forward to going back soon to sit down to enjoy Hazelnut as well a Bagel

The wife and I decided to go out for lunch, and we gave this place a try. Actually, she had tried their bagels before, and liked them. It was my first time. It was one of those weird times - between breakfast and lunch. My wife is a breakfast person - I'm more of a lunch person. So she had breakfast, and I had lunch. She had an everything bagel Sante Fe Eggwich, and I had their 3 Cheese Roast Beef on an everything bagel. MMMMMMMM. Very good, the bagels were tasty, and the sandwiches were good. I also grabbed a cookie and bag of chips. Drinks were the usual with many special teas, and lots of coffee options. Really good stuff at reasonable prices.

Super helpful people, great selection, delicious treats. Highly recommend.
