This was my second bad experience with Tapa La Luna. We had made reservations and arrived right on time, but waited for a long time for everything. We nearly missed our show due to how slow the food came out and we weren't able to eat much more than a small plate of dates and scallops which were mediocre for the pricing.

Denied takeout order because the kitchen was busy. So the only way to enjoy their food is to sit in a 100 decibel environment where I can't hear my date's conversation? Maybe you don't need live music every night

Would comeback when I have much more time. Thought an hour and a half would be more than enough time for tapas and a few drinks before a show at the Egyptian Theater, it absolutely was not. I understand tapas are supposed to be consumed at a slower pace, but for being so close to a theater and having let the staff know we were going to a show, the service was slow and the food took unreasonably long to come out. 3 Seared scallops should take minutes. We waited almost a half an hour. In conclusion if you have time it’s worth a try, if you are going to a show make sure you have at least 3 hrs before it starts.

Excellent restaurant. We focused our dinner on tapas, getting a variety for the table. Just because it’s tapas don’t expect Spanish food, it is not - the inspiration comes from many types of cuisines. Overall we liked them all a lot, and the desserts were also excellent - particularly the chocolate cake. Our server was delightful and contributed to our having a great night. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Service was friendly, ambiance was cozy. Live music was good but loud enough that it was difficult to hold a conversation - it may have been better for folks seated further back (on us for not making reservations)
The crab rangoons were incredible, but the sushi left much to be desired. The rice was long grain, mushy, and unseasoned (it usually has rice wine vinegar at least) from what we could tell.
I would definitely give it another shot, just probably ordering something other than sushi.

It was mine and my girlfriends first time and this was by far the best food I’ve ever had compliments to the Chef Jacob for the amazing food and our server Maddie was amazing giving us good options to pick from

The food, drinks, & service were incredible. Everything came out as described on the menu, and even exceeded expectations. However, the live music was so loud, I could not hear the person sitting across from me and it was near impossible to have a conversation, which relatively ruined the experience. If I were to go again (which I will), I will definitely ask if I could reserve a table in the back of the restaurant.
