You'll have a hard time picking something from the menu because everything is so good! Has good variety on the menu and service is very attentive. Parking can be hard, I suggest the public lot behind the unitarian church on Locust St. Great experience overall!

Placed order 03-02-2024. Upon opening the order when I arrived home, I saw that the chicken was spoiled and the fruit was not fresh at all. The fruit was spoiled and warm. Very odd. When you claim that the fruit is fresh, it at least needs to come cold, not warm. This was our first time ordering from your restaurant and are extremely disappointed with the quality of food served to us. Very poor quality of food.

Server was friendly and attentive. Chips and dip were tasty. Wine was delish. Charcuterie board needed lots more flavor. Meatloaf (very crumbly) and mashed potatoes were way too salty, but the greens beans were perfection.

We went here when it opened and one of our dishes was literally inedible. We decided to try again. Food was good. Service was good. Nice atmosphere. The reason for only 4 stars is access to the restaurant. We had a handicapped person in our group. We parked on Locust in handicap parking. One of us went ahead to see if the ramp or stairs would be better. The door was marked deliveries only. Tapped on window with no response. To get to the real door, one needs to walk along the elevated walkway around the corner to about the middle of the block. Or go down the stairs and walk around. This is hard for a person with limited mobility on a good day. The day we were there both walks were snow covered. The upper walk was also drifted and uneven.

A lovely place for a meal or a drink- the seared tuna salad is delicious. Nice selection of local beers.

Paige was a server, absolutely phenomenal!! The food was so delicious, the drinks even better (didn't think that was possible.) The atmosphere was beautiful and very clean!! We will certainly be back again soon. Highly recommend!

Got takeout Wednesday night and everything was really good. We got 2 chicken quesadillas with fries and spinach artichoke dip. The quesadillas were pretty big and we both were stuffed by the end of the meal. The bar was pretty much full when I went in to get the food. Seemed like a nice atmosphere.

Our party of 3 arrived shortly after 5:00pm on a Friday before Christmas and the place was a little over half capacity. We were greeted and seated immediately. The place is very open, clean and comfortable with decent lighting! (many places I find far to dark to be comfortable. Not the case here) I will say that the music was up too loud and it wasn't particularly recognizable music, mostly just bumping and booming sounds but we were still able to speak comfortably with our group. Our server Nicole was great! Very attentive and answered our questions about menu items when asked. When we finished she was quick to bring us the bill when asked and a box. None of that waiting around trying to flag someone down. We chatted about how long The Grove had been open and where excited to hear from her how well they've been doing because we can't wait to come back!We order the poutine for our appetizer and it came out quickly, hot and delicious! 10/10 would recommend! It was a large portion and could have easily been a meal for someone. We shared between 3 and had leftovers! For our entrées we ordered the Chicken Colorado with Fries, Patty Melt with Onion Rings for an up-charge and the Caesar Salad. Our food came out just as great as the appetizer and we all throughly enjoyed. As we normally do we shared all the food so we could try it all and they were ALL excellent! If you haven't tried out The Grove yet I suggest you try it out! The food, pricing and atmosphere are fantastic! Can't wait to go back and try some other menu items.

Had pretzels for appetizer, they were very good. Ordered the patty melt and wife had the rice bowl. Patty was adequate, wife enjoyed the bowl. Sangria was tasty. Only real issue was time to get our food.

Owner Jason and staff were awsome! Especially thankful that they fed us even though they were closing the kitchen just as we came in. One of the best patty melts I've ever had. This is a scratch kitchen with a thoughtful, interesting menu. I highly recommend!

Went here for the first time and we'll go back. Had the Caribbean jerk chicken wings for an app and they were kickin. The burger was great because it was a CBS burger, which means  stands for a stands for a blend of Chuck, Brisket and Short Rib. Hubby had the Chicago Beef Grilled Cheese and it was good. Their homemade jalapeño ketchup was amazing with the sweet potato tots. Our server, Nicole, was always on point.Decent selection of craft beers and cocktails as well.

BEST new DeKalb eatery by far! Great vibes & reminds us heavily of Geneva. Everything about the Grove gives a warm, cozy feeling & the food & service only add to it! We will be back many times ?
