If you are looking for a great little place to just kick back, relax, and enjoy some good old country atmosphere this is the place to be. The people running the place were great. The whiskey was awesome. I couldn't have asked for a better day.

Great place for a Sunday afternoon to sip some whiskey while learning about the distillery and the farm. We enjoyed our visit and will be back for more.

The (female) bar tenders aren’t very friendly seem to have an attitude towards customers. Also noticed that the place contains cups of salty trail mix for people to get more thirsty in order for them to get more thirsty and spend $ on their expensive beverages.

Great experience. Julia was awesome with the tour and at the bar!!

We had the pleasure of tasting the Blue Popcorn, Bottled-in-Bond Rye, and the newly bottled Maple—each one was fabulous. But the highlight? Creating our own Old Fashioned! The hands-on experience takes this distillery visit to another level.

We came for the special release of maple syrup cask burbon

Great experience! MJ was so welcoming and the whiskey was delicious. The kids loved the kiddie cocktails. We will definitely be back!

This is a great distillery to visit! We arrived and were greeted by very friendly and helpful people. There was a tour starting in about five minutes so they waited on us to sign up, get our drinks and then we enjoyed the tour. Jon was our tour guide, and he was great! He combined humor, facts and a relaxing time to make it a lot of fun. His wife also was working at the distillery bar and was super nice and helpful. (She had warned us about Jon 😀) We ended up sitting around enjoying a couple of tastings and mixed drinks for a couple of hours. (The bourbon slushy is the best ever!) They also helped us decide what we were going to do for dinner that evening.
Along with having a beautiful setting and a great atmosphere at the distillery their whiskey is excellent! Our favorites were their bottled in bond straight rye whisky along with artisan series blue corn whiskey. We also liked the bottled in bond straight bourbon whiskey.
We 100% enjoyed our visit and would recommend Whiskey Acres to anyone that enjoys drinking whiskey and having a good time!!

Patrick was a fantastic tour guide and bartender. We’re Dekalb born and raised but back in town for a bachelor party. We learned a lot and the bourbon was delicious! Highly recommend taking a tour!

The special edition NIU bottles were a big hit this Christmas! One NIU alumni now living in Florida and another NIU alumni who lives in Maryland were so surprised! The best part is that the Maryland receiver found out too late about these special bottles and couldn't order her own! Not were they surprised! And NIU beat ND this year, so it's even better! A gift to remember... I wish I'd thought of it! Thanks, Whiskey Acres, for the memories!!
