Was lied to, shorter food, and lied to again about replacement food.
I have been going here since they opened. I love their tamales. I recently got my sister addicted to them. We ordered 26 (2 dozen + 2), 8 chicken and 18 beef. I called ahead before ordering 1 hr and 30 minutes before the order was to be picked up, to ensure there were enough for our order or if more needed to be made. The gentleman on the phone assured me that they had enough and that they would not need to make more (which was disappointing). It is a 35-40 minute drive from our home to this location. Got there and asked if they were all there because it was a large tamale order. Was assured by the same guy (from phone call) that all 26 were in the bag. Got home, gave 8 chicken to hubby, 6 beef to myself, and 6 beef to sister, with 6 (supposed to be) left over for meal the next day. Only 3 beef were left over after they were divided. Called the location about the missing 3 and was told they shorted us because they didn't have enough. Was told we could pick them up a few days later when in the area again. Arrived on Wednesday to pick up the missing 3 and to order more, and was informed that replacements would not be proved and we can call to talk to someone tomorrow. This is very disappointing and before this issue have never had a problem and have always enjoyed going here but am now disappointed about the lying and theft. Unsure if we will ever go back now.

Do not place big orders with them unless you are prepared to count them. They will refuse to give you your full order and blame in on them being short even if you call in advance. They refuse my refund or give me my food when I came to pick up the remainder.

The food was amazing. Between me and my friend we got a steak torta, 3 tacos, 1 breakfast chorizo taco and a chicken tamale for $28. Everything was so good. Fast service.

Aiciry R. Tended to my order today, she made sure everything was perfect per my request and hot and fresh. Her outward appearance was well put together and she stayed busy the entire time I was there. 10/10 stars! I will definitely return because of the great service via Aiciry :)

This place surprised me - it’s in the gas n wash but deserves one real estate! So good. Also got a side of guac and it was 🤌🏻

We ordered taco dinners which are supposed to come with rice and beans. They gave us double servings of rice without even saying anything. My kids wouldn't eat the rice and normally do at Mexican restaurants. The taco meats were good, but the size of the tacos were mini tacos which was not specified. We were all still hungry after eating. The salsa was very runny and spicy (we enjoy spicy foods, but this was a bit much for salsa vs hot sauce). We ordered online and it said they had chicharons. They were not at all what we expected and were a wheat based prepackaged item that we could not eat due gluten allergies which we indicated on our order and the restaurant staff said nothing about it. Thankfully we were aware of this product. We were disappointed with our experience.

Happened to stop for gas and decided to have dinner. What a pleasant surprise! Awesome food, HUGE quantity (we had burritos) and friendly staff. And that chilli sauce is outstanding. Don't get fooled by the typical gas station ambience. The food makes up for everything.

Two weeks in a row many others and myself waited for these people to show up at Crozehead Cooperage in Monee. They were HOURS late the first time; the second time after waiting for 3 hours we left and went down the street for food. These people don't take commitments and obligations seriously so ultimately I am glad I didn't eat their food. I doubt they adhere to food safety protocols either. Not worth food poisoning for a dang taco.
