This place is overpriced and portion size is crap compared to other places in the area. The ham steak was as thin as a piece of paper when there competitors are serving three times the size and cheaper price. Service was fine but again poor poor value for the moneh when just down the rd is better options period !!!!!

First time been there, we travel from Oklahoma to Chicago and stop there, food was great and big portions, very friendly staff and place is cute! Prices are reasonable

My husband,son and daughter in law took me to Whistle Stop Cafe in Diamond,IL for my birthday last Sunday ,Oct 5th. The food was delicious! Homemade everything! The breakfast buffet was incredible and BLT was delicious too. We had the sweetest waitress ever,Coleen . She had such a fun and friendly personality and patience with us. It was our first time there and she told us all about our choices and what came with them. It is some of the best food we’ve ever had. If you like home style cooking and friendly service you’ll love it there. We’re still talking about that buffet a week later!!

This is a fun place we discovered on a trip down to Blackburn College. The food is great (we love diner food), at a good price, and the people are friendly. If you're driving on 55, get off at the Coal City/Kankakee exit for a little treat!
