The food at this location is very ok and doesn't have the same flavors as others in the city. Also this location closed its dining room so they built a small shelter around the entrance. Only went here for the nostalgia as I had one within walking distance from my childhood home.

You can't dine in because it's all closed off since the pandemic. You have to wait in an area that's about 3x3 feet. They left some of my food out of my order. Wasn't worth going back to get it.

I had been craving Pepe's for a few years and decided to get me some beef tacos on the "Taco special" day. The price went up but that's to be expected with the inflation in place. Let me first say I swear by Pepe's tacos in the city on the south side of Chicago. These tacos were NOT what I remembered, but they were decent. I didn't like how I had to go back to my car to wait for my food. Due to the location, that's not safe in my opinion. But where you place the order, it's so small. Two people max, that's not safe either.
