The food at this location is very ok and doesn't have the same flavors as others in the city. Also this location closed its dining room so they built a small shelter around the entrance. Only went here for the nostalgia as I had one within walking distance from my childhood home.
I had been craving Pepe's for a few years and decided to get me some beef tacos on the "Taco special" day. The price went up but that's to be expected with the inflation in place. Let me first say I swear by Pepe's tacos in the city on the south side of Chicago. These tacos were NOT what I remembered, but they were decent. I didn't like how I had to go back to my car to wait for my food. Due to the location, that's not safe in my opinion. But...
He was nice but the food to me didn't taste that good. I had the 5 beef tacos with everything, I also had a nacho platter. The nachos tasted bad to me, I have had better tacos else where. Also I paid too much money to just not be satisfied.Features: They have dine- in, when ordering take- out, there is a shed you walk- in to order food.
