$40 14” sliced tomato/garlic and order of calamari. I got barbecue sauce instead of marinara. Food was good. I do wish the crust was a little crispier, but I could always order well done next time. Rounding up from a 3.5

I grew up going to Al’s in Cicero. When it closed I was skeptical about this location but the food is the same…amazing!! Authentic Italian food, friendly staff, they just do it right. We had carry out on Christmas Eve when they were the busiest and the food and staff were excellent. Note: this is a carry out or delivery location only.

Baked Mostaccioli with meat sauce. This is the dish I crave. You gotta do it right, though simple, very few deliver.

We order from Al's on averyonce a month and for large parties at home. Today, basic Sunday, mini pack #3 and the garlic bread was saturated with the garlic topping. I took a bite, it ran down my arm. I attached a picture. The house salad was half empty in the container with black olives and a handful of cherry tomatoes. Very disappointed. Hot and cold were separated in respective bags but the meatballs leaked and the bag was soaked through. Just not as good of experience as in the past. I hope Al's doesn't get more sloppy.

Gave me raw fries after waiting 20 minutes careless bunch

Highly disappointed for the second year in a row. I ordered for a catering order for 19 football players and their families to arrive at a specific time. Food did not show up on time. Then they showed up with half the food. The reasoning they gave me is that they were super busy... Too busy to deliver the people that prepaid weeks prior. Stuck with a bunch of food that we didn't need because people left before they could be served. When I called to speak to a manager he profusely apologizes... That unfortunately doesn't help me explain to people that paid for food that they didn't get to eat.

I grew up in Cicero and eat at Al's pizza in the 80's and 90's, it was always good place to eat.

Downers Grove location is the worst place I have ever eaten at. We had a chicken dish and it smells and tastes like it is 5 weeks old and moldy, and tastes burnt.
We also got a Calzone, had almost no sauce, and the grease from the Mazzarella cheese just pouring out of it everywhere.

The Italian ice, so bad.

Its a shame that You have fallen so for from what you were, this is the 2nd time that food was bad, for me I'm done, good luck.

Al’s was hired for our daughter’s wedding welcome party. They did a fantastic job setting up a lovely tent with chairs and tables and later catered. The food was fabulous including hamburgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, chicken, meatballs (extra good) pasta and salads. The desserts were also good with cannoli, fried dough (a family favorite) and cookies. Later on we had a sundae bar. The Chef Dominek and co-chef were so friendly and accommodating. It was a fantastic experience! Thanks Al’s!
