St. Patty's So I went to BallyDoyle this St. Patrick's Day and it was awesome. They are one of the only places around given approval to open and serve alcohol at 8AM for the holiday. They serve breakfast with the alcohol, and typically the Mayor of Downers Grove attends. Several different entertainment shows. Really good time!

When you come here, you must try the cream of potato soup! Anything with potatoes is beyond delicious, but the cream of potato soup tasted like childhood. The naturally have a great beer selection as well!

St Patrick Day-yesterday. They were selling tickets, both online and at the door. The place was packed to the rim. So basically, we (group of 4) spend $46 for nothing, as it was impossible to get in. They should control capacity when selling tickets-not ripping people off.

Ballydoyle is a spacious Irish pub where they have good food and great drinks. We had their Black Velvet (half Guinness and half Magners) and it was poured perfectly by the bartender. They have a spacious bar as well as lots of seating for family friendly tables. We sat at the bar and received great service from the bartender. Their Ruben and fries were great. Not sure that we would order the fish and chips again, but would definitely come back to try more.

We were at Ballydoyle for a bridal shower luncheon. Small sandwiches were provided as guests walked around talking and visiting. Did not order drinks or from main menu. Sandwiches were tasty. Will come again and do a meal.
Service was slowwww. One person doing the whole back room in a packed bar. Food was okay. Great atmosphere.

Went there on a Saturday night to see Scarlet Mountain. Sean M was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we could see the band while we ate. He was accommodating to let us leave the table and come back throughout the night. He was quick with our food and quicker with our drinks. The food was amazing… Shepherds Pie and Corned Beef Bites!!

We had our family Christmas party here and they hosted 50 of us for a warm, welcoming and festive celebration!! Wonderful service from James, our party coordinator; fabulous drinks, lovely appetizers, mains and dessert selections. Parking in the area was so easy for everyone, including our older family members in the parking garage nearby. The whole family had a wonderful time and we got so many compliments on the experience. Thank you, Ballydoyle!

I asked to speak to the manager Louis as I wanted him to know what a great time we had. He came and talked to us and let us know about all the events especially St. Paddy’s day coming up. What a fantastic place!!
