Have you ever been to a restaurant. Sat at the bar and be totally blown away? The ambiance, the vibe, the food but most of all the bartender? As an industry vet of over 30 years I am rarely blown away, but at Cadence, when Rob is working, I am always blown away. Everyone at his bar is jovial, having a good time and if they don’t know the bar manager Rob when they sit down for the first time, they will know him by the time they leave. And they will come back, regularly, just like I do to sit at Robs bar. He literally flys around when it’s busy, non stop, pouring his latest concoctions for eager guests willing to try whatever he’s currently pouring. AND HE KNOWS EVERYONE! Remember cheers, where everybody knows your name? That’s 2025 Robert Boatman behind the bar at Cadence Kitchen in Downers Grove Illinois. I would humbly rate Rob and his bar at Cadence THE ABSOLUTE BEST place to hunker down, have a drink, grab some Short Rib and enjoy the show. If you don’t know Rob, you’re definitely missing out.

I recently hosted a bridal shower at Cadence. The food and service were excellent. Shout out to Zack and the wait staff. Most importantly for us, the ambiance was amazing. Cadence has two private rooms both of which are beautiful and very well appointed. The special event coordinator, Abby, was super responsive and most accommodating. I would highly recommend hosting your event here!

Took my friend for her birthday dinner and it was a wonderful evening. The atmosphere is so relaxing with the dim lighting. The food is excellent. I recommend the filet mignon, half chicken and for sure you have to try the crab beignets which are out of this world and anything shrimp.
