The last two visits we've caught the lunch menu which is a perfect time to dine as it's not overly noisy or crowded. Love this location and particularly our server, Paola. We've had her the last two times as well fortunately. She brings so much good energy and expertise to the table that it's a pleasure dining when you have someone who knows what they are doing. No matter how often you dine out, it's a stand-out when you have an excellent experience like we did again. Just wanted to mention that this is our favorite location because of the abundance of parking and the staff, including Cathy whom we know and see at the tasting bar occasionally as well. Kudos to Coopers Downers Grove and please keep up the excellent work. It is very much appreciated!!!
Great service, delicious food. Had a lovely birthday dinner there complete with complimentary dessert.
Our server did an excellent job meeting our needs for food and timely dismissal. Thank you.
We had a 1 p.m. reservation this past Sunday for my birthday. We were there for over 3 hours and not because we wanted to be there that long. The AC barely worked in the 90 degree weather; when we asked about it, we were told it was out yesterday and that most of the AC was in the room where there was a baby shower. The wait for appetizers, wine, more bread for a table of 5, more water (so hot due to lack of AC), and burned chicken was embarrassing to me as I raved about Cooper's Hawk to my friends before asking them to celebrate with me. As a wine member, I didn't receive my birthday bonus of $15 off the bill. At that point, we just wanted to leave. Generally, I've had a great experience here, but this one was horrible.
Food was great, especially the lettuce wraps! They were out of the chef special desert which was disappointing. We asked for a desert menu and it took 15 minutes for her to come back and take the order. The 1 desert we ordered was tasty however it took over 15 minutes to get it served.
The food is always great! The server was attentive and the location is perfect
Never lets you down!
Always a good choice :)
This place is ridiculously overpriced for the portions you get! I ordered the steak medallians with shrimp and the 2 pieces of meat I received were RIDICULOUSLY SMALL!! I'm talking barely larger than 2 golf balls and they charged $45 bucks! Also it said it came with mixed veggies and I received ONE big piece of steamed broccoli! I was so disappointed when I saw the plate, especially being one of the most expensive dishes on the menu. We also ordered the tuna rice and the bruschetta as an app.. both were ridiculously smalls portions! The bruschetta was literally 2 pieces of bread and the rice/tuna portions were tiny! Also the service was so slow for not being busy during a week day. We spent $150 and left feeling very disappointed and ripped off for the money we spent with the portions we received. I never write negative reviews but I felt so ripped off that I couldn't help it. That will be my last time ever going to a Cooper's Hawk!
1 of many locations i have visited and service is always a1! Check out the newest wine flavor, Watermelon Paloma.

Food was good. Service excellent. Nice Saturday night atmosphere.
Good food, good service, and a variety of menu options made for a lovely evening out with friends. The waiter recommended two wines, which we sampled and then selected. We'll be back!
overall the food was good. our waiter was very busy waiting on tables. i was unhappy with the salad. my wife and i ordered a wedge salad. when it arrived i noticed that the kitchen had cut a small wedge of lettuce for the salad and placed it on top of pieces of chopped salad. the chopped salad pieces were old with brown edges mushy consistency. not fresh at all. the waiter removed the charge for the salad which i appreciated. in all my years of dining in restaurants and ordering wedge salads, i have never had a wedge salad with a chopped salad base let alone a stale chopped salad base. i was surprised cooper's hawk would pass off such a salad to its guests. pretty low end maneuver for this restaurant.
Bryan was an excellent waiter. Knowledged if the menu, made good wine recommendations. Fabulous dining experience and fresh food. 5 stars
Cooper's Hawk failed us today bigtime. Waitress was molasses slow and didn't care. We went for our anniversary and we were comped a glass of bubbly (which was nice). Once our waitress gave us that, she pretty much blew us off, sort of like she did us a big favor? Took us 2 hours to get an appetizer, bottle of wine, and entrees in a booth in the bar. Our entrees were stone cold. We got smart and ordered our dessert to go when we put in our entrees, and still had to wait for it. My husband's mahi sandwich was bland, and my baked shrimp scampi was just spaghetti with way too little shrimp on it--and nothing baked about it. Waitress didn't get out of first gear and we had to chase her down to get our bill. Not regretting canceling our wine club membership. Ordinarily a good experience...too bad.
