Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Downers Grove

I know it was super busy last night and Joe our server looked stressed and exhausted; however, the drinks arrived late and were not what we ordered, the time it took to ask for things and receive them were unacceptably long, the checks were all mixed up within our 2 couple group. The food was ok but not anything special. The filet did not taste like quality beef. And the room was freezing cold. I think it would be an improvement to hire more servers. This is the first time I've been utterly disappointed in this restaurant.

Server did not tell us her name or acknowledge that it was our anniversary. We had to request bread and bottle of wine due to club members and tell her to add our reward to bill. Had to repeatedly ask for knives.

My friend and I went out for our birthdays and decided to try their brunch menu. The French toast was good, but the menu is limited, in regard to sides. They do not offer egg whites or turkey products as an option. I wish they offered turkey products for breakfast, etc. since everyone does not eat pork. Besides the limited menu, the food was good, and our server was phenomenal! The sangria was amazing, as always!

We did a wine tasting then were seated in the outdoor patio. Service was outstanding as was the food! Love the gluten free options. We had risotto, pork, and a fish dish and all were delicious! Very pleased with the whole experience at Cooper's Hawk!

Server was very slow. Never offered pretzel bread, had to ask for it after we were done with appetizers as we ordered main course when appetizers were received It took a long time to receive our bottle when we ordered it.

I will be honest, this was not our best experience at Cooper's Hawk. We've been there many times before and are wine club members. We were there to celebrate my birthday and take advantage of some special offers they had. The food as always was great, but our service definitely not so much. The young man waiting our table was apparently new and really needed some additional training. When your entrées come out before you've even gotten your wine to drink, you know there's something wrong. Fortunately, we asked to speak to the manager and expressed our concerns which he appreciated. He did make an adjustment to our bill, which was very nice of him. I'm guessing he will use it as a teachable moment for the young server, and maybe a teachable moment for the restaurant to make sure a server isn't put on the floor during dinner unless you know he or she is absolutely ready. But all is well that ends well!

Great food great wine reasonably priced. Unfortunately had some very loud groups next to us but oh well they were having fun and so were we, ALL GOOD TIMES

The food was as expected nothing special about the 3 tenderloin filets. The service, though, was excellent. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. We are two old friends catching up and she gave us space to visit and order at our own pace. Never felt rushed. For that alone I would recommend the Coopers Hawk in Downers Grove, IL. Prices were not outlandish. For our purposes it was a good choice for the evening.

The food here is always delicious!!! The service was great as well. We love their wine o'clock menu. They always let you have a couple tastings to decide the bottle (s) you want for the table!!

Food & service was great as always. I had grouper and my hubby had chicken piccata. Ordered Pinot noir wine which had a weird taste. Didn't complain as we always order it and it is usually good. But what was disappointing was we were seated at a small table for 2 &, as it was my birthday, I asked if we could have a bigger table. The person who seated us said all the bigger tables were taken which on a Saturday I could understand. Well right across from us was a bigger table for 4 and it was empty the whole time we were there. I know it is a small thing but being my birthday I thought they could accommodate us. Also it would have been nice to get a free desert. Just a brownie with a candle. Nothing major. Well I guess I expected too much. Food was hot and good and our server was very good as well.

My father and I make it a point to grab lunch at Coopers Downers Grove for its consistently good food - and good service and staff. The folks up front that greet and seat are on point, quick to give a friendly “hello” and they get us promptly to our table. On this visit our server was Lexi - I believe. She was very friendly, nice and with a very upbeat and positive energy. I hope I have her name correct. She is a true asset to your business especially these days when finding quality servers is not easy.

We had the best service ever. The food was hot and fresh. We went for the Brunch and Bubbles. The CH Steak and Eggs brunch item was great. I asked for the hollandaise on the side. I asked for the eggs to be soft scrambled instead of sunny side up and the eggs were spot on. My SIL had the soup & salad combo with the Napa Chicken Salad and the Lobster & Crab Bisque. Everything was fresh and prepared well. Our server (I don't have my receipt with me to give her name) was an absolute bright star, very personable, and assisted my SIL with choices. Even her wine suggestion was great. Adding her referenced wine to my CH rotation.

Our waitress was absolutely terrible. Wanted to take our order the first time she came to the table (10 min after being seated) and then ignored us. Food was excellent so it's an pity that the service was so poor

Everything was great the vibes the food the wine was delicious but eating outdoors you have to deal with pesky flies and it ruined my meal unfortunately it was very good and would've liked to finish. I do highly recommend this location everyone was nice and attentive and will return just eating inside ;)

We waited 45 minutes for our food at 7:30 on a Thursday. Our burger had cold fries as if it had been waiting for the other items. I usually love the food, but thought it was just fair this night.
