Downers Grove - Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

Recently had a bad experience where this location would honor 2 personal pizzas for a coupon my kids received from the Woodridge Public library. Usually a young lady up front would honor 2 pizzas per coupon. (She even handed me back 1 when I tried to give her 2) Went in today and the front end worker and manager both would only honor 1 pizza per coupon. Seems like policies should be enforced universally not selectively. Also price for personal pizzas is overpriced and not worth it. Better off getting a whole pizza at that point.

Ordered around $400 in food for a party. It was mediocre at best. Pizza and pasta were bland, should have ordered from Giordanos or Zazzos. Props to the gentlemen at the front desk, he was very helpful.

On time, prompt attention, great takeout service. Fantastic pizza as always.

I strongly recommend against ordering delivery from this location; it is fulfilled through DoorDash or other third parties and they simply CANNOT deliver a quality Malnatis pizza. We've tried three times and every time it's a disaster. Order and pick it up yourself.

Lou Malnati's apparently has good quality control. Carry-out from this location was the same pizza experience as downtown, which is a good thing.

Lou's classic deep dish (sausage and extra cheese) was so delicious! I don't like many pizza crusts, whether thick or thin. Lou Malnati crust was great! Ate it all! We're all looking forward to our next pizza there. Had the three cheese bread appetizer, came with marinara sauce. It was good and we all enjoy extra sauce to dip our pizza slices into.
Carryout, then warmed up extra slices next day, still crispy crust and delicious!
(Far far better than a recent Giordano's pizza in another city.)

If you’ve never had deep dish before, I wouldn’t recommend starting here. It wasn’t the best we’ve tried, but it also wasn’t terrible. The sauce was a bit underwhelming and could’ve used more flavor, but the crust was perfectly buttery. So far, we only have Giordano’s to compare to and honestly, that one takes the cake by miles!

A weak 3 -star deep dish.
I didn’t read the disclaimer that this was a freshly frozen deep dish, but found out quickly it was.
Pooled water(?) on outside edge of crust.
The taste was alright till you get to the edge and have to drink the thawed out liquid.

I’m sure their signature pizza is better than the deep dish, but if deep dish if what you’re looking for. I’d look elsewhere.

Easily placed an online order before they were open, for delivery at a later time. Order came on time. Driver was friendly. Food was delicious. Love how they partner with local schools also for fundraisers.

The Downer’s Grove Lou Malnati’s has the best people. No mater what the special request is, you can always count on them to get it right. They are super friendly and helpful and the food is consistently great quality.

Amazing customer service AND great food! This location has always been our go-to for deep dish pizza delivery. What i didn't know is if you call and prefer delivery after 8pm, this location users an outside vendor for deliveries. I called at 8pm, ordered delivery of a pizza and salad and was told 45mins-1hr. After an hour passed, I called and the Mgr told me that the order should have been picked up by the driver at 8:25 but never showed up. I decided to pick it up. I was met by Joe when I arrived and he comped the food for the inconvenience, AND gave me a coke to go!
I love how this place is managed and will continue to order delivery from here! Thanks Joe! You're awesome.

Heard so much about this pizza parlor. Ordered a thin large sausage pizza Sunday and was very disappointed hardly no sausage and poor quality will not order from them again

Not what i expected from a. Chicago pizzeria! They put the toppings on the wrong side so I had to scrape of my husbands onions and mushrooms! Very bland. The place was hard to find, no signage on window, just a counter inside.
